I've got a present for you

In the evening, after I had returned home, my mother, who was quick enough to catch the news, began talking about the events that had taken place in Z city. I could vaguely feel my mother, who had her suspicions on me, but I pretended that I didn't know anything, and after I had finished eating, taking a shower, and resting for a little while, I then went to my secret lab.

When I first went to my cave laboratory, I could feel something was different when I arrived in front of Mosquito Girl's room, I could make out the lilting melody of a woman's voice humming on the inside, and that voice was none other than the voice of Mosquito Girl.

I don't know why, but I didn't go inside right away. Instead, I stood outside her room, listening to her beautiful hum for a little while longer, and without realizing it, a smile appeared on my face.

I muttered to myself, "It seems all of the blood that Mosquito Girl harvested today satisfied her," as I slowly unlocked the door to Mosquito Girl's room.

At first glance, I could see Mosquito Girl lying on her stomach with her eyes closed and her insect legs that wouldn't stop kicking happily. However, as soon as she noticed my arrival, she hastily sat down and pretended as if nothing had happened.

As I got closer, I could sense Mosquito Girl getting a little anxious, and even though I had no idea what she was thinking at the time, it piqued my interest to find out what was going through her head.

"Are you upset with me because I didn't let you suck more blood that time?" I asked while I was sitting on the bed next to Mosquito Girl.

Mosquito Girl did nothing more than turn her head away and respond in a low voice, "Even if I get angry, there is nothing I can do about it."

But Mosquito Girl was caught off guard when I suddenly patted her on the head and complimented her, telling her that she had done her best today.

I could tell that Mosquito Girl was trying to escape from me, but she could put up with it in some way and simply snorted indifferently without making any comment.

"I've got a present for you."

Even though Mosquito Girl at first claimed that she wasn't interested, in the end, she couldn't help but ask about it, "A gift? What do you want to give anyway? If you give me a chance to come out and suck more blood, I will gladly accept it."

"If it's about that, maybe some other time."

Instantly Mosquito Girl became disappointed, but a grin started to appear on my face when I pulled Mosquito Girl's hand to stand up and asked her to close her eyes.

Even though Mosquito Girl became wary of me and cast a suspicious look, I didn't care. In the end, all Mosquito Girl could do was sigh and obey me by closing her eyes.

Because Mosquito Girl was not accustomed to walking on the ground with her two insect legs, she began flapping her light and transparent wings to fly low when I led her somewhere.

'Compared to that time, the current Mosquito Girl has really changed a lot, and most importantly, she is slowly starting to open up to me,' I thought with a wry smile because, for some reason, I felt that Mosquito Girl had some sort of Stockholm Syndrome.

'But who cares.'

Still, inside my secret lab, I led Mosquito Girl to a place located on the top floor, so after we took the elevator and a few stairs, we finally arrived in front of a room.

"You can open your eyes."

Mosquito Girl, who had just opened both of her eyes, was now looking at me with furrowed brows as she started asking, "what does this mean?"

Mosquito Girl then pointed towards the bedroom door with the nameplate "Mosquito Girl" on it.

My casual response was, "This is your gift," but the suspicious Mosquito Girl then expressed:

"Don't tell me. All you want to do is move me to another room."

When I heard Mosquito Girl's guess, which was nearly correct, my eyebrows immediately raised in a little bit of surprise. But, since I didn't want to waste any time, I opened the door and led Mosquito Girl inside.

I moved her to a new room, as Mosquito Girl had suspected, but not only that. Since this was a gift, of course, I also had something else up my sleeve.

When Mosquito Girl first entered this room, her eyes shot wide as soon as she noticed something unexpected. She began to look around, and before she knew it, the furrowed brows that she had earlier had been replaced with an expression of shock and amazement.

"This room is very spacious, even the things in here also look nicer."

Because everything in this room is very futuristic with sophisticated and fully automated technology, so the light immediately lights up brightly, illuminating the entire room beautifully when the system detects the presence of Mosquito Girl and me.

"Do you want to see something else that is no less amazing?"

With a big excited smile, Mosquito Girl started nodding her head at me, saying, "let's see, but don't let me down, okay."

Soon after, the lights in this room began to turn off, and it became pitch black. Mosquito Girl, who had previously relaxed her guard, was now back on alert again, and she even went so far as to adopt a fighting posture, but she soon realized none of that was needed.

Because the ceiling of this room suddenly moved and opened, the moonlight and stars that shone brightly in the night sky began to enter this room, giving it a magical light and soothing look. Even the cool breeze of the night could be felt touching the skin.
