Intruders

Vampires always have been spying on Fire Blood pack and conjuring plans to wipe them out. But as always of Alpha's bravery and beta's excellent skill in fight and strategy, there had been no loss till today. But that can't be said to always go like that. Especially when there is the smell of riot within the pack.

"What is it?" I said.

Frank looked restless about the new uninvited guest and slowly let go off my hands and walked behind me.

"Vampires?!" he grumbled.

'What? How can they come this close and go around unnoticed.' I thought.

"Frank!" Ned came searching for him.

"Where?" Frank shouts.

"West woods."

"Don't let them go today? It's enough now for their child-plays."

Frank ordered him to pursue and kill the intruders.

It's first time I saw him so serious. His charming looks and glamorous aura faded away in his alpha rage. It worried me. I lost my parents and friends but I don't want to lose anyone anymore.

Ned returned hurriedly and Frank turned to me with concerned looks.

I understood what his gaze wanted to tell me.

"It will be okay with me. You go!" I said. I assured him of my safety.

"Okay!" he said. He turned and raced to where others were assembled.

My pace though lacking, I raced to send him off. Beta warriors and Alpha Frank stepped outside of the pack house and everyone turned into werewolf. The rage and anger exuded from their body shook the sulky environment and filled with passion the path ahead.

Sniffing around the air and growling filled the tension around.

"Lets' go!" Ned shouted.

Everyone ran to the West woods. Soon their presence mixed in the woods.

Frank looked for the last before marching into the forest.

I clutched my heart and prayed everything would go fine.

"Don't worry. If things go south, they will return safely." Martha said.

She saw me worried and felt how things might turn if something would happen to Frank.

Martha and others came back from ruins already and positioned themselves to their safeguarding locations around the pack house.

Her consoling words felt even heavy. I don't know but there is something pulling me to think something will go bad. 'But what??' I thought.

To this feeling Synge again growled softly and made me feel assured about a positive outcome.

"I hope things go alright." I said, worried.

I walked back to my room after replying to Martha. She stood without words.

Douard appeared in the living room while I turned to the stairs.

"You look pale." He said.

"It's nothing. I just haven't gotten used to it yet." I tried to change how I felt, consoling myself.

"Don't overthink." He said.

His worried eyes looked even heart grabbing to me. I lived free spirited all those years and now everything moves towards, which I least expect.

All of a sudden being werewolf and awakening a wolf which is still unconvincing. 'But what can I do about that, which already happened. Sigh. What luck and destiny have I got?' I thought.

Staircase felt longer with such heavy feelings. Emotions wailed up and brimmed my eyes with tears. As I entered my room, I plunged myself into the bed. Pillow soaked with tears. Well I don't know what is happening to me and why? I crumbled down with the heavy thoughts which I can't shake off.

(Frank's POV)

"There they are!" Ned shouted.

'I won't let this pass. War has already started.' I thought.

"Surround them." I roared.

Jake jumped forward and stopped one of the vampires.

"Ha! tear his head off." From far another vampire shouted.

"Frank! Now!?" Ned shouted.

Jake turns his head and jumps fiercely to that vampire. Even before the vampire could move, his head rolled down on the ground and blood spurted out.

Karren, who was leader of this vampire group, frowned. He bit his lips furiously and stopped running away. His gaze got fixated on Jake.

He runs towards Jake and kicks Jake off. Jake falls on the ground far away, groaning in pain. It was a powerful kick and after that Karren turned to Ned.

He thought Ned might be an easy target. As he jumped, Ned pulled out a silver dagger and plunged it into Karren's heart. He was shocked at the sudden silver dagger piercing into his heart. His thoughts turned upside down. He misjudged Ned.

Karren, falling to ground silently, vomiting burning dark blood. Suddenly, a pungent smell mixed into the air.

Jake, who got hurt, stood up clutching his heart and walked towards Ned.

"Frank! the last one is still standing." Jake said, coughing up blood off his mouth.

"I think he might bring others if I let him go now." He said.

"Who is letting him go?" I growled.

Vampire who was still alive, had a pale face and stiff breathing. He was shocked to see his senior die so pathetically.

I walked towards him looking at him very intensely.

His eyes shook in fear but thinking that news must reach Mortham Citadel, he turned and ran as fast as he could.

Vampires lived in different families and Mortham Citadel was the castle of Vampire Count Drake. Karren, whom Ned killed, was the loyal left hand of Drake. His followers are weak though.

I was ready to chase him but something crossed my mind.

"What if he will report something different…." I thought.

His shaky legs couldn't get far and my grab reached him by the border. River and steep stones bruised his hands and face as he tripped trying to escape me. His jumps didn't reach the next side of the river.

"don't kill… don't kill me…" He pleaded.

Crushing his face between my palm I looked at him with eyes filled full of blood lust.

"Please... NO!!" His scream rang out in the woods.

"I won't kill you… but do something else…" I said.

He felt it even more threatening and screamed, "What… what are you going to do with me?"

"You'll be better off my puppet than to kill you…"

Ned who heard me say that raised his eyebrows in admiration. He knew what I was planning to do.

"Let's go back now, shall we?" Jake spoke with tired voice. He got beaten hard. His legs, cramped with Karren's kick as he walked, looked a bit off.

I turned to the vampire minion whom I knocked unconscious.

"Ned, will you help out here?"

"Okay!"

He carried him on back and we returned.
