Book exerpt:
Not deterring, I try my hardest to get to the door. As I feel my fingertips graze the door, my body starts to fall. Oh no! I'm not going to make it!

I look over and see my attacker is suddenly back at my side again. He grabs me as I slip further into the floor. I try to hit him, but my arms aren't responding. This was the most terrifying thing to have ever happened to me.

"Don't be afraid," he says as he gently lays me down, my vision starting to blacken in a haze." I'm here to kill you."


Samantha Howell has everything: a large fortune she doesn't need or want and the perfect fiancee. On the night of her annual family gala, she is kidnapped and imprisoned by an Assassin for hire. Will she find out who is behind this, or will she die trying?

My Assassin

"I carried it with me because of Ryder," he says nervously. "I'm sorry." 


Joe places his hands on Freddie's shoulders. "Calm down, Honey. Darryl explained to me what happened." 


Joe continues, "When the lights went out, and Fallon screamed, he came out to see what had happened. Of course, he wasn't thinking about the tablet! It's when he saw Ryder running down the stairs and Fallon on the floor." 


Just then, Bell walks into the kitchen. She walks up to Ryder and begins to whimper. He picks her up and hands her to me. 


Having Bell near or just the sound of her collar jingling around the house brings me a little peace. 


"All right, Bell. Stay here with Uncle Joe, Margie, and Darryl. Mommy has something important to do," I say as I turn to Joe. "Do you mind?" I ask Joe, handing her to him.
