Book exerpt:
Not deterring, I try my hardest to get to the door. As I feel my fingertips graze the door, my body starts to fall. Oh no! I'm not going to make it!

I look over and see my attacker is suddenly back at my side again. He grabs me as I slip further into the floor. I try to hit him, but my arms aren't responding. This was the most terrifying thing to have ever happened to me.

"Don't be afraid," he says as he gently lays me down, my vision starting to blacken in a haze." I'm here to kill you."


Samantha Howell has everything: a large fortune she doesn't need or want and the perfect fiancee. On the night of her annual family gala, she is kidnapped and imprisoned by an Assassin for hire. Will she find out who is behind this, or will she die trying?

My Assassin

I only know what they are talking about once Ryder says that last part. That I understand clear as day. We have been compromised! We are in trouble! 


"Whoever did this is smart. It means the hackers have probably been in and out of our system and home. Undetected," Freddie says, looking at me and then Ryder. 


"We have to get into one of the offices, Ryder. It's the only way to confirm any of this is true," Freddie says as the room lights flicker on and off. I breathe a sigh of relief, but it's short-lived. 


"I know, I know! Whoever hacked the system is still in the system. Damnit!" 


I stand there paralyzed as I watch the generator. 


Someone broke into my house and installed this death trap. How is that even possible? There is someone always home. 


Freddie shifts on the crate and then rejoices! The lights come back on!
