SEVENTY EIGHT: TRAGEDY

SHAIRA’s POINT OF VIEW

My upset stomach woke me up early in the morning. I checked my old room, the one occupied by my future ex-husband. Since it wasn't locked, I gently grabbed the doorknob, trying my best not to make noise so he wouldn't think I was checking on him. I decided not to go inside.

I watched them sleeping, both smiling as their arms circled each other.

Suddenly, my stomach let out a loud growl, signaling that I urgently needed something to eat. So, I headed to the kitchen, only to find an empty fridge. I had no choice but to go to the nearest store.

I had my breakfast at a convenience store, where I decided to buy instant noodles and canned goods.

Once I felt satisfied with my meal, I left the convenience store and decided to walk since the distance wasn't far.

Walking early in the morning is a wonderful experience. I can feel the fresh air invigorating my senses.
