The man who attack Ethan look at him and fell into thinking. After some time, He made up his mind.

"Well, I suppose for all your hard work, I can give you an easy death. If we waited for those guys, they will make sure you regret breathing so I will give you an easy way out. Consider it a mercy."

He raises his sword and ice starts covering it. If Ethan sees it, He would have recognized it in an instant. It was one of the three ability any weapon user will die for, It was weapon augmentation. Only those who are just below the level of swordmaster are able to use it.

"Hmm.. Water??"

He notice an thin layer of water below the ground.

"So, It's you, Chloe."

A midnight blue haired lady with ocean blue eyes was standing behind him. Currently, Her beautiful face contain the coldness that can freeze anyone with just a glance.

"What are my doing to my student?"

Her cold voice was literally decreasing the temperature around her!

"Student??!!"

He was surprised beyond belief. Student? Does that mean her family already knew about their plan? But that's impossible. They shouldn't even figure out that he is missing then how?

"He is not related to my family in anyway."

"Ohh, so he is just a poor guy."

Chloe's eyes grew colder at his remark. The water around her starts freezing at high speed covering whole area in ice.

"It seems you are getting serious, aren't you?"

"I don't need to."

Ice starts climbing on his body through legs. His relaxed face turned into frowned. He uses his augmentation to fight back but ice easily overwhelmed it. Ice climbs his thighs, His expression become horrified as he raised his head to look at her. He finally understands his situation.

"You rank-up??!!"

He is at C Rank, from what he heard last time. Chloe was heard to be a C+ Rank. This overwhelming prowess means only one thing. She ranked up to B- Rank!

It has to be known that Chloe is in her early twenties. At her age, People who have reach B-Rank can be counted on one hand.

His thoughts didn't go further as ice starts climbing up him and he didn't even get the chance to take hostage! Cracks form on the ice covering him and turned him into ice dust.

Chloe relax and shifted her vision to Ethan and her brother. Her cold expression turned into surprised.

Ethan was awake and dragged his body away. He was holding onto her brother while his other hand holds the sword with its sheath laying besides him and his right leg located some distance.

Blood covered sword and his face covered in blood gave him a savage yet cold look. Her expression turned into relief as she feels his breath.

She gently used her water magic, or at the least she believes, and knock him out.

"I am getting a serious sense of déjà vu."

Lucas was sitting on a stool while Ethan was lying on same bed as past when he almost got divided into two during ranking match.

"Last time I remember he woke up after I went closer."

Lucas went closer as he rested his hand on the edge of bed. He believes that his power of friendship might do some miracles.

Ethan eyes flutter and opened up. Lucas was climbing onto him. Ethan raise his leg and his foot hit his crotch straight. He screamed as he crawls back.

"What do you think you're doing?!"

Lucas kiss his teeth as he try to suppress his scream. He wants to ask the same thing but he can't bring himself to release his past breath.

Ethan notices that and changed his attitude. He went ahead and rubbed his back to show his concern.

"Ohh, Sorry Pal, It was a mistake."

After few minutes, Lucas breath return and he drink a glass of water. He releases a deep breath to calm himself down and opens his mouth.

"Ethan shit went down for sure this time."

"It sure did, Just imagining your pain is scary."

"You are in huge mess this time."

"Nix Family Elders ask academy to hand you over for interrogation."

Ethan frowned after hearing him. Normally, this kind of situation should ends up with him getting reward with some unparalleled Arts or Heaven defying skill or Divine level Artifact heck a favor from beautiful lady is must! But what does he mean by interrogation? He is clearly being treated like a criminal here!

"Well, I also didn't understand much things but I explain to you what I understand. Nix Family has some internal struggles, it's my own thoughts but most likely, some elders are involved in this kidnapping and they are planning to use you as a scapegoat."

"What did academy said?"

Ethan asked with casual expression.

Lucas looked at him for some time. He really doesn't understand his friend. Normal guy will be panicking or complaining about the situation or worse but he is still calm like it's not even talking about him!

Sigh.

He just sighed in the end. Currently more important problems are here in queue. He will think about him later.

"Headmaster gave his answer that if even single hair of your head went into their territory then he will kill all the Elders of Nix Family."
