Rainy Days

Ethan was relieved slightly knowing that he was not abandoned by academy. He won't know what he will do if he was forced to confess a crime which he didn't even commit.

"You shouldn't be relieved too early. I don't think Nix family Elders will let things go just like that. You had hurt their pride and I don't think they will spare you for messing with them."

Ethan just looks outside and said nothing. There is nothing he can do even if he wants to, all he can do is to accept his situation and move forward. As a Lucas advice, He will keep in mind and be careful. It's unlikely they will be do something to him in academy.

Lucas didn't ask him anything about yesterday because he knows that Ethan always make an uncomfortable expression when you try to get too close with him. It's like a wall perk up around him the moment you went to his personal space. Lucas being a man who takes prides in his ability to read people. So, he always reminds himself not to make him uncomfortable in anyway.

"Hmm??"

Ethan gaze shifted toward table besides his bed. There was a simple vase with canilia turlip. This flower release pollens that are good for patients and increase recovery speed over time.

Ethan turns his head and look at Lucas. Lucas notices his gaze and asked while backing off.

"What??"

"…Did you bring this flowers?"

"...No."

"Then who?"

"Professor Ross...or not, you think some secret admirer?"

Lucas was mentioning infirmary professor name but stop midway when he notice Ethan expression.

Lucas made another guess. "Miss Chloe."

Ethan made a repulsive expression. He knows conversation was going on weird direction. He also remembers a weird piece of information that he knows Lucas won't miss.

"Now I remember something interesting, Ethan as I was saying, you might found an alluring sister or single hot milf mother but man, you hit both of them together, didn't you?"

Ethan knows that Lucas is only trying to cheer him up. From his point of view, his friend just went through some huge shit. He is also grateful that Lucas is not asking him anything about yesterday so he chose to play along with him.

"Did you meet her mother?"

"Yeah, few years ago in a banquet, Beautiful is an understatement, Ethan. She is hot enough that I cried myself to sleep last night."

Ethan laughed at his exaggeration, He knows he need to do something about his situation but for now it is always better to enjoy the short peace.

After Lucas leaves, Ethan again ended up alone again.

A heel taping sound resounded inside hall. Chloe opened the door and look at Ethan who was gazing outside. It was night outside with full moon in the bloom which can be seen from the window. Ethan turns around and looks at her. His eyes were shining with his blue iris but they fell weirdly empty. Whenever Chloe look into his eyes, she always feel uneasy, she shake her head and ask him about his health.

"Are you fine?"

"Doing better than before."

"Hmm, Good."

She went forward and takes the sit on the same stool Lucas sit, she cross her legs and arms while looking at his face. Ethan hurriedly turns his head to look outside.

Chloe's figure was basking in moonlight, she look absolutely mesmerizing and enchanting. Ethan knows that he will be hard time not admiring her if he turn look at her. So, He chose to look outside.

"I am sorry."

Ethan turns around furiously. Her face was lowered slightly in guilty and remorse, Ethan never thought that he will see his beautiful yet cold teacher in this state. Ethan almost wants to tease her but stop himself, knowing it might spell his end.

"It's our problem and you only get dragged in it."

"Lucas told me few things."

Chloe raise her head. Her expression relaxed a little after he talked.

"So, what is going on?"

"You will be asked some question in presence of an interrogator and if you lie, things will not be good for you."

Ethan fell silent after hearing her. He had asked about the whole situation but she only answer what she wants and took the silent. Ethan knows that if he asked her further she might not like it. In the end, He still remembers being trapped in water ball.

She has collected herself now and wore the same indifferent look she always wears. If his memory was not sharp, he would have considered her apology a lie. He just change the topic to lift the mood.

"How is Neil?"

Her expression turns one of surprise.

"He told you his name?"

"Hmm. Is that something special?"

"He is quiet shy, He never open up himself to other people. It's first time he open up to someone other than his family."

Her expression softens a little as she talks about him. It seems she really love her brother.

Chloe and Ethan talked about few more things. After confirming Ethan's well-being for last time, she raise herself and leave. She stops herself at door and turn around. Ethan was looking back at her. She lowers her slightly in a bow though it looks more like a nod.

"Thank you for saving my brother."

Ethan smiled at her gratitude.

"Good Night, Miss Chloe."

"Hmm, You also."

She leaves the room and Ethan eyes turn cold for a second as she left, He slid himself on the bed, pull the blanket to cover himself and fell asleep.

It's been two days since the Ethan woke up. Today is the day when a Nix Family's representative and a professor of academy will kindly 'visit' me. An Interrogator will accompany them who have skill to detect lie.
