Strongest Spell

Boom.
Zap.
Adam keeps falling back while keeping the young man at the distance of 5m. Adam had given up in close range right after their first exchange. His left-arm joint was swollen and pain is making it hard to move freely. He had a feeling if he had put a little more strength in his knees then it would have broken his arm even if he had hit on the inside of elbow.
"…What happened? No close range fight? I was actually impressed when you invite me."
"…I like fighting like this."
"Is that so?"
The young man suddenly forward with insane speed. He stands right in front of him before Adam even lands his feet. Adam brings his hand together and hastily released a double fire blast right in front of him but young man simply jumped side wise as he had already predicted it. He punched right from his side but Adam just swing hands in his direction and hit him with residual blast.
The young man was launched backward but he stabilized after just some distance back. Adam looked at him with a frown. He had admitted that this battle is going to be hard but he didn't think it will go like this.
There is a large difference between F+ Rank and E- Rank than can't be covered by anything. Even Celestial and Greater Arts normally provides combat prowess of one or two sub-rank, only if user is talented enough. Adam had significant advantage in that as his Arts are well beyond reasoning when it comes to that.
Their overall damages are almost halfway to next rank while being at lowest of the rank. They also provided him with multiple spells that give him more versatility when it comes to battles. He thought he would have no trouble against some above a whole rank but he can't be more wrong.
"…I have to admit. You are really someone we should pay attention to."
The young man looked at the burn cloth around his chest. He is an E- Rank! Both of them have difference between of a whole rank! Not only that, it was actually him who had been made fall back and twice at that!
He first dodged his attack because it was directed at his face. No one wants to be hit on their face so he dodge it reluctantly but after getting hit from it, he can tell he will get injured if he get hit directly by those double blast of his dual element. He didn't think there will be Arts in this world that can boost strength by a rank. He didn't even mention his speed when casting his spells that are almost instant!
"…Hey."
Adam didn't response at his call. He looked at him with wary as he should. The young man has already shown him his hostility. Anything more is just a waste of time.
"…You are probably coming after us because you believe that it is our fault. Right?"
Adam still didn't say anything but keep his guard up. A hint of skepticism appears at his face as he failed to understand what the young man in front of him is trying to do.
"…What if I told you we aren't at complete fault?"
"…Hee…So you were forced to do it?"
Adam scoffed at him. He thought that since they are criminal they should at the least have some awareness of their crime but it seems they are nothing more than hypocrites.
"…You're right actually. You know about factions, right? The Noble Faction has almost taken over the government do you know that? They are actually responsible-"
"SHUT UP."
Zap.
A lightning blast rushed over at his head which he dodged with a tilt of his head. He looked at him with his tilted head. Adam was looking at him with death stare. He really thinks it's a shame that he needs to kill him.
He is genuinely interested in his Art and wants it for himself. He wants find some way to take his Arts but it didn't seem like he is easy to convince. He decided to think of some way after defeating him. Human Domain is vast. He may found some way to extract it from him after all.
He dashed forward and his expression turned surprised as Adam also jumped toward him. Adam hadn't just taking his bullshit for nothing as he used his voice command to consume potions. Voice commands are weird so he didn't use much but they are useful during battle like this as he just need whisper in inaudible voice.
The young man stands in from him and start punching with his both hands. Adam dodged it barely but slowly gets used to it as he was able to predict while being close. Adam just focused on how he moved his shoulder and his body to predict his punch aim.
The young man in front of him is practicing a Body Art while his fighting style is more about counter, adaptive and flexible. His single attack will heavily injure him for sure. Adam was walking on a trembling rope as he was fighting him. A single hit and it will spell his end. Adam didn't attack because he wants to make sure that young man believed that he has the advantage.
Adam dodged his attack continuously but two out of five hits grazed him and it actually damages him. His unbalanced hits still hurt him which keeps telling him that if he took a perfect hit, he will goner!
Adam released a fire blast by his left hand at his right knees which he dodged by pulling his right leg backward along with his body and push everything in his right punch. Adam didn't hesitate and also punch with right hand while also adding his spell.
The young man felt funny and also push his punch forward as to compare whose punch is stronger.
Boom.
Both punch collided and young man punch was pushed backward. His expression turned surprised as he looked at Adam.
Adam didn't feel a slightest joy at the outcome. His wrist had dislocated from by the collision. He was only able to push his fist back because of the fire explosion at the end of collision. Adam raised his left hand and swiped it in the air.
Fire Waves.
A wave of fire released his along with the swipe and push forward. The young man expression turns from surprise to bewildered. How is it possible to cast AOE spell with just a wave of his hand?! His understanding spells suddenly turned upside down…
Boom. Boom. Boom.
His whole body was covered him in explosion. There were no screams that told Adam that it is still not strong enough to injured him heavily, so he unfolded his other spell.
Dark Ground.
His shadow flickered and took a darker shades, it expanded outside and stretched as far as 80 feet away with him as a center. Whole ground covered looked so dark that it looked a paint of darkest of ink ever. Explosion had already ended but young man found it hard to move his body.
It is AOE spell of his Darkness Art. It is the crown control spell and strongest he has seen until now. He can also adjust its range that will depend on his mana usage that he wants to save for his last spell. It hadn't failed him to trap F-Ranks but he was skeptic about using it at E-Rank so he waited for right moment.
Storm Explosion.
Thunder.
Loud sound of cloud explosion resounded in sky but he was unable to raise his head to look above to the sky. A thunderbolt from the sky like a sharp arrow right at him and explode. Another thunderbolt fell which soon followed by another until whole area around the young man got covered in lightning explosion.
His storm explosion can used instantly but clouds takes time to charge compressed thunderbolt which will give him, the young man, enough time to escape his attack range. He used his darkness spell right at the moment to trap him and launched his strongest destructive to follow it as way to seal his deal.
Cloud of ground dust filled whole area as explosion died down. Even if he is a Body Art Practitioner so what? In the end, he will die below his strongest destructive spell, Storm Explosion!
Adam suddenly felt lethargic as he staggered sidewise. He collected himself and gave voice commands to consume mana and healing potion to his system.

Dust smoke hits him and passed him. He shakes his hand in front of his nose to get rid of the smoke. Vision was still filled with smokes, making it hard to see his opponent status. He didn't think he will be any condition to fight as he knows his spell strength better than anyone else.
Young man has been hit by both of his AOE spell that Adam never used his AOE spells together against anyone until now. He had hit first F-Rank Dungeon boss with his double dual-elemental blast and it has ended his life. He didn't think that it will be different this time.
Adam slowly moves forward while his sour muscles healed itself under potion effect and mana inside his body which dimmed down start returning their glow due to potion. He reached five meter away from the location when a something black suddenly flashed in front of his eyes.
Adam's eyes enlarged as he flew backward without even noticing. Before he registered what happened, He crashed into the bag of materials 100ft away from him. Another round of grey smokes rises as bag of material burst out by his crash.
"…You Ant, I am DONE PLAYING WITH YOU!!"
A charred figure stands on the same place, Adam was standing. His clothes were ripped and missing at many places. His visible skins was blackened, scorched and peeled in many places. He seems like a huge mess but he was still alive and kicking.
His mouth hanged open as he found it hard to breath. A single blow has left him out of his breath. It's like his heart and lungs had squeezed itself out of breath. Adam raised his trembling hand. His hand has few tendrils of lightning dancing around him. He slammed his hands down toward his chest. Lightning currents travelled through his chest and sent a jolt to his heart.
"Aah…"
His breath suddenly returns which cause him to open his mouth wide and breaths in. It was a blind guess but it seems it had worked for him. He had read about AED and thought about using it with his lightning but give up as he think about the destruction caused by his Storm Explosion.
He just go with blind guess in do or die situation and tried it out, It seems his luck is not so bad, accounting to the fact, he fall on the bags of materials also prove that. If his crash was not softened by it, then he would have die from the crash itself.
Cough. Cough.
Adam pushed the bag of materials and coughed furiously as he breath smoke, dust and multiple things besides air.
He looked at the young man in front of him whose whole body was heaved up and down because of his heavy breathing. His anger and bloodlust was at peak. It didn't seem like he will give him an easy death. Adam knows that there is only one thing left now that his strongest combined spell failed. That is…RUN!
