He sighed and looked over the sky. Sky is blue and filled with clouds. Sun is standing straight in the sky looking down on everything. It's afternoon. He didn't like day time as at the time, he is unable to use his Darkness Art. He needs to walk through streets like a normal person. He feels miserable as he walked through footpaths. It's like a ghost rider without his bike!
He walked through the city and reached his apartment. He rested on his couch along the wall and calls the system.

If you looked in the darkness, darkness looks back at you. It is purest form of darkness that shouldn't exist in living world. It has versatile set of skills that complement the beings of death. These three Arts are rewards from the system. He received Fire Celestial Art when he received the system. His Lightning Celestial Art is reward for clearing the dungeon, he was thrown into. When he ranked up to F- Rank, he received his Darkness Art. He is sure he will receive another one after rank-up.
If he had to be honest, he loves his Darkness Art the most. Why wouldn't he in the first place?
Just Description is telling him that when he will form his elemental core at Advance level, he will be…will be…he doesn't even how to explain how much awesome he will be in future.
He already plans to focus on his Darkness Art first. He will first increase his proficiency in his Darkness Art then he will care about other of his Art. His mouth hurts from his smile as he tried to imagine his future.

His first skill is hard not to guess with its name. It gave him something similar to sixth sense and informed him about danger and opportunity ahead of him. It is master of own as it only works when it wants or in dire situations.
He bought it from the shop. His system has its own shop which provides him with its own skills. It cost him 200,000 G.
Parallel Activation improves his mind related abilities in nutshell. It improves his all mind related abilities. It was the reason he was able to ace the entrance exam of LIFE. If not for it, it would be surprise if he even ranked in Top 100.
It also let him use his two different elements at the same time. It is impossible to use multiple Arts at the same time as all elements have different energy conversion processes. Fire energy is created by the process of Ignition while Lightning Energy is created by process of friction. It will be impossible handle two process at the same time. It is only possible for him because of his skill. It cost him 7,000,000 G.
His last skill is Inspect. If he has to say, it is not so much interesting as it tell him about characteristics of items and people. It doesn't even tell him info about things above his rank. He found it quiet a drag as whenever he used it, he always see the same notification of his rank is not enough and question marks…
It is unranked skill which comes free with his system. There is a saying that free things will never digest no matter how small it is and it's true to its words as he experienced it firsthand.

He still doesn't know if he is going to buy all the skill or not but for now, he has been eyeing these two skills among them from the starting and wants it but he has settles for Parallel Activation because entrance exams were close. Now, He will either save gold for Soul Tracker or save more for later when he will buy Perception.
Adam enters inventory and went through all the spatial bracelet and I-Link, he bring with him. He through checked through everything but found nothing. He found some stuffs and weapon he can sell for money but nothing that can help his goals.
He looked outside and found out that sun has gone down. His stomach growls from hunger. He is mentally exhausted to cook anything today in the end. He chose to go outside for food.

Adam filled his stomach and leaves for his house. Adam felt slightly bitter inside the restaurant. He saw few friends eating and talking together. Adam just remembered the so-called friends he made during his first month. He first enjoyed their company as they always talk about interesting things and girls always praise him.
But that all ends when during last week, they asked to help them with SPs, difficult favors and some even asked them to join their groups something or many more stuffs…
Adam frowned at their demand and of course, bluntly rejected them all. That's all…and they stopped meeting him and avoided him completely. Adam raised his brows at them. A sudden realization struck him like a hammer.
They never meant any of the word they said to him! All those silver-tongued words and praise were nothing more than butter over bread so that they can get benefits from him…They only wanted to use him for his benefits and when they figured out he is not easy one. They leave him alone.
Adam knows that his knowledge about world and society is quiet lacking. He was just a random street kid just half a year ago. In last six month, he had done nothing but collecting gold to buy and upgrade skills. He understands that it was quiet childish of him but the potential his system had given him had left him with no choice.
He felt quiet hurt when they did that to him. Adam looked up on the sky and building besides him was covering the half of the visible moon, He missed his friends more when his thoughts lead him into such thoughts. He thinks about the future if his friends still exist. What would have been like? If he had received this system just a year ago, would he be able to save them?

Adam looked up straight and found a young man standing by the wall inside the alley between two huge buildings. His eyes contain mockery and mouth was stretched into sneer. There was a heavy feeling around him that was making Adam on his guard up.

His guess was right. The young man in front of him is at the least E- Rank. His expression darkened as prepared in himself for immediate battle.
"…It's seems you figured out. What gave away?"

He laughed as Adam had made a joke but Adam didn't find him funny at all. His intentions were as clear as sky since the moment he called him. Adam had been gone through multiple life-threatening battles since he received this system. He can easily tell if someone hold ill intent toward him or not.
"…Relax…Even I am not so ill mannered to fight right on a highway. Follow me, I know a better place."
He comes out of the alley and walked ahead of him. Shadows of huge buildings were covering his figure until now but when he come out. His figure finally became visible.
It was a bulky young man with short hair. His clothes were tightly hugging his muscles, showing his huge build. Adam didn't follow right away and looked around. It can be a trap for all that matters but his skill told him, he is alone.
Adam followed him as he leads them to an open construction site. Adam looked around and tried to see what he can use it to advantage when the short hair man called him.
"Are you really rumored survivor of our masterpiece?"
"…Masterpiece?"
"I am talking about Alastar Incident…don't you know?"
Adam gritted his teeth as clenched jaw dug into each other. His eyes filled with hostility and his contorted with anger. Adam already figured out who he is. He is direct member of the strongest criminal organization, MonoChrome. He finally caught their attention after killing so many of them.
Adam had thought about what he would do when he finally met one of them but he understand everything just from a single word from him. These bastards actually saw that incident as a masterpiece. The same incident that had stolen everything from him!
Adam didn't say anything and stretch his hand forward. A fire blast release from his hand as it travel toward the young man.
The young man dodged it and dashed toward him. He stops in front of him and throw a punch at his head. Adam lowered his stance to dodge his punch and move forward. Adam never really wanted to hit him with his fire blast. He just wanted to lure him in close to take him by surprise.
His punch passed over his shoulder while Adam extended his hands and cross them above his punching arm. His wrist over each other and his both palms faced his face directly. Adam released fire and lightning blast from his both of his palms directly in front of his face.
The young man bent backward while using his hand a support to dodge his double blast of fire and lightning. He raised his knees at the same time and hit his abdomen. Adam puked everything in his stomach right after the knees hit his abdomen. His eyes widen in surprise but not for too long as hit felt his left arm being gripped and twisted.
The young man raised his knees above to hit his elbow. Adam hurriedly adjusted his arm to avoid breaking. His knees hit the inside of his elbow and bent it in usual way. Adam twisted his wrist to make his palm faced him again. He also made his other arm facing toward him and released a double fire blasts toward him.
Young man had no choice but side step and fall back. He created a distance of 10m between with two leaps. Adam looked at him with grave expression. In just one exchange, he almost lose his arm!
