The Interrogating Witch

Throughout the whole night, there are screams of men. In an unknown location far from Team 6's Minecraft Island, two people interrogated ten people in some sort of dark void.

"Zabrina, you can do whatever you want to them. However, don't go overboard with them until they tell us everything." Sebastian said to the purple headed woman.

Well, It didn't matter to him if these heretics working that organization were going to be killed or not. They're nothing but insignificant beings in his eyes.

The only reason why he hadn't told Zabrina to kill them yet is she already killed the Demigod in anger, snapping his neck. He needed to figure out what they knew, such as the location of one of their bases that the Empire and many other countries had been looking for many years.

When Zabrina heard what Sebastian said, a vicious smile forms on her face. She says firmly.

"Don't worry, sir Sebastian. I will get every ounce of information they have in their tiny heads."

It didn't matter if one or three or even all of them died now. As long as she gets information out of them, then all will be fine.

The only people that aren't in a good mood now would be the dark dressed men. Don't know if they are unlucky or dumb but this is their very first time of getting captured during a mission, nothing like that ever happens in their entire careers, maybe they shouldn't get too close to these monsters.

For the past few hours of interrogating and getting tortured by that woman, they had thought Sebastian would be playing the good cop in this situation and help them a bit. Well, enough for them to keep their lives. But nope. The man is throwing them into a bottomless abyss.

They indeed try to commit suicide by using their magic however it was instantly nullified by Zabrina. They first thought she is some member in one of the Republic's military corps but knowing her name, they realize she is Zabrina Manarazzo, also known as 'The Calamity Witch', not only she is one of the dangerous weapons that the Republic held but she is also a special intelligence investigator in charge of torturing her victims ruthlessly by using her skill that increases the pain even more sensitive, letting her victims know the true horror of pain.

Worse, she even has another skill that once she kills her victims and uses that ability, even before death, their soul will experience endless suffering.

Many people feared her, even making stories of her, even someone who withstood the most horrifying tortures will have a terrible feeling when getting torture by her.

They even don't know what her appearance is in the first place but now learning she is the one in front of them, they all begin to panic.

They don't fear death, but they do fear her ruthless torture.

What made it worse is the cracking sound of Zabrina's knuckles. It made them want to crawl into a hole and hide.

It's time for them to accept their judgment and die. That's the vibe the thugs got from Zabrina.

Before Zabrina could continue her interrogation, one of them quickly asks in fear.

"Are you going to let us live if we tell you everything that we know? You can put us as prisoners!"

They all heard what Sebastian had said, but the guy felt there was still hope for them to survive if they spill out everything their dead Captain had told them.

Zabrina didn't say anything, but they thought her silence is a confirmation that it's a yes.

He quickly says, "I will tell you everything I know about our organization! EVERYTHING! Just let me be-"

First come, first serve. The man didn't care about his comrades as he wanted to escape from this situation. Yet, before he could finish what he had said, Zabrina went on and snapped his neck.

"Don't interrupt me with all your useless banter. I'm the one in control, not you people!"

His proposal would have been ok... if she was the densest person on the planet!

For all she knows in her 20 years experience being one of the Republic's ruthless elite members, the man could feed her the wrong information to escape faster. That happens sometimes in her life.

And what he was trying to do made Zabrina want to gag inside. Zabrina is brought up through military standards. She is once a soldier through and through. Abandoning your comrades to save yourself is something that she hated the most.

She turns to the others as she repeats, "I will be the one asking the questions, not you, lawless sons of bitches. Now tell me all you know about what the other assholes in your little club were planning to do next."

Zabrina didn't need them to say yes or no to the first part; she just needed information.

Taking members from that unknown organization is not that easy thanks to their advanced magic and technology that kept themselves hidden, not even the most powerful governments in Fordalt could find them very easily. As for interrogation, it is also not so simple, even using a memory reading spell, still didn't because they were casted by powerful magic that restrict any memory viewing spells at them, so using it is useless in interrogation.

"..."

The black dressed mens were silent. They desperately don't want to risk their superior's location and everything about it while some of the members were too scared to say or even do anything. It wasn't because she had just killed another one of their comrades.

The fear of being tortured by The Calamity Witch continues to loom over their heads.

For all they know, Zabrina could kill them even after they give the information to her. After, they were nothing more than dispensable. Killing them would be nothing more than batting an eye.

"Do I need to make another one of you an example?"

Seeing how silent they are, Zabrina's hands are itching to go for the next neck, but this time, slowly.

"Wait! I will explain everything! Please believe what I have to say. I'm the second in command of the group and was there when the Captain made a conversation with our Boss!"

Even though he doesn't know if Zabrina would kill them or not, not saying anything would make their chances zero. Too many lives were lost to Zabrina just because of stupid reasons. Besides, even if they don't say anything to her, Zabrina might torture them like their Captain to make them talk.

The Second-in-command explains some of the location of different sites he and his comrades knew, they also explain they just recently joined in for a few years so their knowledge regarding it was rather extremely limited.

They also talk about the conversation between their Captain and the Boss in their magic communication device, the Boss tells them to travel to a certain location on Darkloid Lake, one of the largest lakes in Fordalt and that's it, there is nothing about individuals living there or coming there.

"That was it. That's all I know." He says nothing more after that. From the other examples, he knows what would happen to him if he oversteps:

Zabrina going insane and snapping his neck is something that he needed to avoid the most.

And he did. Zabrina was mulling over the information she got to the point that they became nonexistent until she's finish.

'Now, what should I do with them?' Zabrina looks back at them. And when they saw her looking at them, they hoped she would end the interrogation. But the following words made all their hope of freedom disappear.

"Since your Captain had gone down to the underworld as his henchmen, you guys should join him as well."

Of course, killing them all is tedious as there are a lot of necks to snap, plus the pain sensitivity increasing which is what they fear the most. But now that she thought about it, letting them leave would be too dangerous.

For starters, if she lets them go, she couldn't see the bunch of lawless imbeciles to keep their mouths shut about what had happened. And the other is that second commander. Compared to the others, he was on the sharper side. Killing them off now is better than leaving them alive.

When the second commander heard her say that, it wasn't a surprise for him. The thought of getting killed had always been in the back of his mind. His life pretty much sucks, that's why he joined the unknown organization as a lackey without second thoughts.

'So this is how my life ends?' Remembering what he did in his life, he didn't have many regrets.

'Well, dying at the hands of a beautiful woman is something, I guess.' He laughs as he closes his eyes, ready to have his neck snapped and feel the vass pain he will feel, it includes his other comrades.

But before Zabrina could make a move on them, a voice called out.

"My oh my. To think that the Empire's dogs and the Republic's lil' bitches would do something this wicked towards harmless people."

A person suddenly came out from the darkness, he looks to be at least the same age as Zabrina. But he looked like a zealot and somebody that causes trouble at the same time.

Zabrina didn't turn around to see who it was, but she quickly said coldly, "State your business and get out of here. Or do you want there to be two more bodies lying around here?"

Zabrina had sensed the two long ago, watching the entire scene from outside the dimensional field her and Sebastian were in. Sebastian had given her a look before, telling her that they didn't need to care about them. If they haven't attacked, then they can ignore them.

Even if he didn't signal her, Zabrina wouldn't care about them.

"Pff, is that any way to speak to people that are superior to you?" The smug person said as he started to look down on Zabrina with disdain. There's one more person beside him. His appearance looks older than the other person. He looks towards Sebastian and bows his head at him, and Sebastian nods slightly back to him as well.

"Superior? Why would a bunch of nobodies be superior to me?"

Annoyed, this time Zabrina turns around to look at the two. The two of them are dressed in light blue clothings. However, from that one glance, Zabrina's expression turns darker. Zabrina knows these people, well more like the engraving on their collar. On their collar, they have the engraving of the Church of the Sapphire Light.

These people are from the Senadate Theocracy, a Holy Empire that surpasses the Empire and the Republic combined with larger lands, economy, superior military numbers, larger number of magical artifacts, and the blessing from their Goddess Alesia, the Goddess of Pure Light.

Not only did they belong to a more powerful Empire, they were also the members of one of the Seven Scriptures, the White Hope Scriptures.
