A week's trip to Paris

"Lara, my dear, I have very good news to tell you, coming forward, he addressed Lara very happily.

"I am very happy too, and soon we will go to Paris, start the preparations now, we will be there for the week." Her dad told her.

"It's okay Dad, I will start the preparations today, so when are we going? She asked.

"It was supposed to be two days, but we will leave here tomorrow evening, as it will take a day to go there and do the paperwork.

Her father smiled and looked at his daughter.

"Tomorrow evening is too early, so I will have to pack from today," she said excitedly.

"Yes my princess, go and start your preparation now, Her father said lovingly.

She is about to get up and leave when she turns back and questions her father once again.

"Dad, we'll be back in a week, shall we? Because there's a modelling show at the university that I don't want to miss."

"Yes, it is only a matter of a week, then we will return to our home, hearing this, she smiled and went to her room to pack her stuff.

She goes to her room and opens her closet and takes out a black colour bag. Placing this bag on the bed, she again walks towards her wardrobe and takes out her favourite clothes and puts them on the bed along with her favourite jewellery, makeup and shoes and puts them on one side of the bed. With that quickness, her attention turns to her mobile, which she looks around for and then starts looking for it under the stuff on the bed. Getting the mobile, she opens the call folder, and looking at Rosley and John's numbers on the front, she started thinking who to tell first. Thinking of something, she puts the phone to her ear while making a call to John.

"John, I have to tell you something, she leaves without hearing John's voice.

"Yes, Lara I'm listening, what's the matter? He asked anxiously as he heard Lara's voice.

"I am very happy today, John, because Dad will be honoured with an award ceremony in Paris. She told him everything while sharing her happiness with John.

"This is very great, I am also very happy to hear this. John said happily.

"Yes, and also to tell you that we are going to Paris for a week. I have to go with Dad."

Along with the joy, a small sadness gripped John, that he wouldn't be able to see Lara for a week.

"My daughter seems very eager to go," Her father said as he entered the room, glancing at the scattered belongings.

"Yes, of course, we will have a lot of fun. When you were ten years old, we went to Paris on business, if you remember? Her father asked her.

"Yes, I remember well, and then we were gone for two weeks," Lara said, recalling those days.

Saying this, she ends the call.
