A Helping Hand

Ferdinand was surveying the surroundings as he walked with absolute caution in hand. He looked from sides to sides and from every nook and canny of the forest that he was on. He surveyed the skies and the ground for any potential signs of wandering walkers. Just earlier, he was fighting dozens of walkers with a giant, fat walker, and he could eliminate all of them without breaking a sweat. Though after the fight he found a few stranglers whom have heard the fight and was coming for him and so he also eliminated them.

Earlier, Ferdinand discovered that intelligence was one thing in his character: information actually increases your accuracy. Therefore. that explains why he could aim precisely and gracefully without breaking a sweat. He had a boost of intelligence from this goddess Athena. He doesn't know any of these gods and goddesses in his character panel. It's probably because that this world has many gods and just maybe, just maybe, he could earn more of those blessings.

Ferdinand wandered and wandered around the forest, slowly but surely securing the required perimeter. It flabbergasted him at how almost non-existent the walkers were currently in his field. Most likely, those walkers were up to something. He thought to himself. Feeling the uneasiness dissipates, Ferdinand started leisurely strolling around the perimeter and when the time comes, he decided to help his soldiers.

After a few moments of walking, Ferdinand heard an explosive shriek followed by gunfire. He immediately dashed towards the source of the sound. He avoided the obstacles that came in his way. Graciously, but fast and furious, were the words that could be described as how fast he is. Moments later, he could find signs of fighting and signs of movement of walkers.

Ferdinand suddenly had a premonition and so he had to take up his speed by a notch, and so he sprinted. After a few moments of running, he arrived on a battlefield. There were many broken trees and dug up soil. To his sides, he found his soldiers in a battle against walkers. Then suddenly he remembered they were only equipped with rifles and without the big guns they had to make do with limited accuracy.

It was then that Ferdinand also realized that they didn't have the blessings of the gods and the fact that he was the only one with it. So they most likely have average intelligence. There's no need to think further about he has to help his soldiers. So he dashed forward, and he summoned his Mark-1 Automatic Rifle and started blasting the walkers.

The soldiers noticed Ferdinand, which their faces lit up by a notch with happiness. Carefully aiming at the walkers, he eased forward while firing his gun. The soldiers then continued firing their bolt action rifles with limited accuracy. The soldiers also moved out from their trench while firing their armaments and headed towards Ferdinand. He responded by providing covering fire for his soldiers. After a few moments of struggle, they are finally united again.

Ferdinand ordered his soldiers to set up a defensive position, and so they did. They have faith in their commander and so they stopped providing fire support and started bringing out their shovels and started digging on the ground. The process was very grueling as they have been fighting for a while now and so they are very much exhausted. However, Ferdinand didn't feel any struggle nor exhaustion he felt like his still full of energy. That's why he could provide defense for them for an extended period.

After a few minutes of digging, they were now all in a hole, and they were now firing in each direction, covering each other's backs. Ferdinand then observed his surroundings and when he did, he found out that the walkers weren't stop on coming, and when he was just about to fire again, he found out that on the far side of the battlefield there was a walker that were just standing looking menacingly in them.

When Ferdinand found the walker, it became agitated and let out an explosive shriek towards the heavens. Ferdinand looked through his user interface to which he found he has now had over 70000 points. Unfortunately, he would have to spend some of it. Because the walker was too far away. He had to make it quick as the walkers were about to break through their defensive position. So he had bought a sniper rifle, to which the amount of points he needs to buy it surprised him. It costed him a staggering amount of about 15000 points and 5000 points each for a magazine with 6 rounds.

He guessed that the next squad would have to wait for his points to rack up once again. After buying the sniper rifle and about 2 magazines of it. He carefully aimed at the iron sights of the rifle, to which he fired one after another. Thunderous sound shook the battlefield. Unfortunately, the walker that was standing could dodge the bullets. That the bullet reached the walker enraged this even more and so the walker started sprinting towards them.

As if Ferdinand would let the walker get too close to them and so he aimed and fired again, while his soldiers provided support fire for him. The walker was dodging the bullets one after another which made Ferdinand agitated but he couldn't let this affect him because if he gets too agitated or emotional he might miss the fire even more.

Soon enough, the time has come, and he was down to the last 2 bullets. Ferdinand didn't want to waste more points and so he had to make do with the bullets he currently has. He tried to make a last gamble, to which he waited for the walker to get close. When the walker got too close, he fired, to which he missed, but when the walker was now getting closer than ever, he suddenly brought out his Mark 1 Automatic Rifle and started blasting the walker into smithereens. The battle ended with the walkers fleeing and with a usual sound of:

[DING!]

[SYSTEM HAS DETECTED THAT THE USER HAS KILLED A LEVEL 1 HORDE WALKER. GRANTING USER 5000 POINTS.]

This surprised Ferdinand even more because that explains why the walkers were too many in this area and the fact that the horde walker was very intelligent and fast.
