Chapter 8: Manifest

"Right, your upper body has reached the basic threshold to survive Aura, now, let's focus on your lower body.

We can just normally train your upper body to maintain its current strength.

Best part about Aura is, once you have it in your heart, even if you take a break for a year, your body will have the same fitness since the Aura will be pushing your muscles anyway." Marco explained again, as I stood up from my position.

For the past 2 weeks Marco's been showing me little tricks to get strong faster.

For example, since I already know the upper body circulation method, doesn't that mean I can just stab myself with the sword and let the Aura move into my body?

I'm not an M who does anything for power though, so I did the next best thing and tied my sword around my chest for 2 days and focussed on my chest, then shoulders, back and core.

For arms and legs he taught me normal workouts.

Now we decided it's time to move onto my legs then to my arms.

My body gained visible amounts of muscle all around and I couldn't help but remember the time I hit the gym on Earth.

'If I train my upper body everyday, I will become heavier due to the gains. Since my legs carry more mass they are also getting trained, it's a big brain.' I couldn't help but laugh after I thought of that.

"Sir, I have just sensed my Aura." Said a girl as she walked up to me.

After looking closely, I realised it's one of the girls who pissed me off a while ago.

Since that day, I haven't really acknowledged any of them.

"I see we have company, I'll continue my training over there then." I said to Marco, who nodded as I left.

As I walked further from where we were, I decided it's finally time to try out my devil fruit.

The reason I haven't is because the devil fruit did not actually get incorporated into my body like the Emperor Eye, it became a spell, which requires Aura or Mana to use.

I held the sword in my hand and circulated the Aura from the sword, through both hands and towards my mouth.

The neck was always a delicate part so I circulated it slowly.

Marco told me to never circulate Aura into my head, so I never did.

I then activated the fruit, and bit right into a massive boulder I saw.

It tasted extremely bland yet crunchy, but I just powered through and ate it.

I could feel a miniscule increase in my overall fitness, but that's only because your senses become hyper to change in your body after practising in Aura.

I then continued to do this to

the next 10 boulders and a tree I could see until I decided I could not take anymore.

I could feel my overall fitness increase by 10%. It was probably because I was weak to begin with, so I will see more immediate strength increments.

As of right now according to Marco, in about a week I will be able to contain Aura in my heart.

Right now that I have the plan to become a Rank 1, I need to figure out how to manifest Aura .

I did skip a step since Marco was supposed to teach me how to become a Rank 1 after manifestation, but he also did not stop me when I decided to grow in a different way, a good teacher.

After that, I repeated this for another week before according to Marco my entire body was fit enough to take in Aura into my heart, right then as well I became skilled enough to manipulate Aura and keep the sword in ring form for a day.

"Now, you can pick Magnus. You can either become a Rank 1 knight and then become a beginner Swordsmen, or vice versa it doesn't really matter."

I nodded, but first there was something else I had to ask.

Right before I could though, there was a large scream that was heard from the other side of the camp.

All the kids started to rush towards that direction, but Marco stayed put.

I looked at him questioningly but he said,'' Only those who sense Aura can be considered as Academy students. I am not allowed to help non-students for no reason. I will protect you, if you or the other students are in danger but unfortunately I cannot help those kids."

I nodded at what he said and moved towards the direction of the scream, to see 6 students with varying weapons surrounding a lion.

The lion launched at a student who was holding a spear and slashed at him. The students blocked with the spear , but sensing he couldn't hold on, he dropped the weapon and just ran away.

The lion then looked towards me and ran at me.

Using the Emperor's Eye I could tell how the lion would attack and just dodged, after that I picked the spear up and changed it back into a ring.

After that, I took out my own ring and let it expand into a sword.

Then I moved some Aura on the sword into my arms, powering them up, before stabbing right into the side of the lion.

The lion moved away from the stab and also all my other slashes.

I realised that I couldn't reach it anytime soon and decided to switch weapons.

I changed the sword back into a ring and took the spear out and extended my hand as far as possible trying to stab it.

I was able to pierce its hide and it started to bleed.

Then for the finishing blow, I took a second to move Aura from the spear into my legs, before jumping straight into the lion and stabbing/crushing its skull.

After everything was over, people calmed down a lot, and the kid from before came back.

"H…Hey man, can I have my spear back?" He asked, trying to grab it.

Before I could even say anything, Marco came up and stopped his hand and said," You left your weapon in the middle of battle and ran. You clearly do not deserve a weapon yet.

What's the point of having it if you are just going to forget it in battle? Magnus, you can keep it."

From my conversations from Marco, I already found out that these weapons were fairly common in the school.

I also made another decision, that being to become a Rank 1 Knight and then quickly learn manifestation before making it to the academy.

According to Marco, it normally takes a person 2 years to become a rank 1 knight and 5 years to become a rank 2 knight.

That means that with the potion from before I reduced my timeline by 2 entire years, but, in a couple of years I will just become average.

I decided to become a Rank 1 knight in the Academy, since according to Marco if I did not become Rank 1 by the time I reached the Academy, they would give me special potions to help me breakthrough.

So my plan is to learn Manifestation, reach the Academy and become a Rank 1 Knight.

When I do become a Rank 1, I apparently get a special Weapon in the Academy according to what I ask for.

Then with all those resources, I will summon a new template.

"You're not getting it, Magnus. You got too used to absorbing the Aura you're not trying to reverse the process.

Since you decided to learn Manifestation first, you have to gather Aura from the surroundings, into your body and apply it onto your sword." Shouted Marco as I was holding a normal sword.

Since the training plan had changed I had to temporarily put the 'Rings' away.

The thing is I didn't really put them away, they were in my bloody pocket according to Marco's instructions.

So while trying to learn this new skill I had to make sure I wouldn't die to a spear and sword suddenly expanding.

Thank god, but after 3 days I finally got it.

I absorbed the Aura from the Rings and moved it through my legs and onto the tip of my finger tips.

Then I let the Aura leave my body and move onto the sword.

After looking at the sword, you could see a small, translucent Aura around it in white colour.
