What? Me? Suck It Out?!

"I don't know exactly what happened, but those two marks on her neck are snake bites." He explained, and a heavy scowl appeared on Luthiel's face.

"But that's impossible. There is no way a snake could have gotten in here." He shook his head in disbelief, and Celvit stood up on his feet.

"General, I don't think that this is something you should be worrying about now. She is in a critical condition, and I do not think she will make it till tomorrow." He explained, and Luthiel glared at him.

"Then save her!"

"I do not know what type of snake bit her, General. And even if I do, I do not have the antidote now. The poison has spread almost through her whole body. Look at her fingers, they're turning green."

He clarified, and anger began to steam within Luthiel.

"You're absolutely useless!" He yelled at him and furiously kicked him out of the chamber.

He began to pace back and forth in worry, and suddenly recalled that there is, in fact, someone who might be able to help, he rushed out of the chamber.

He arrived at the chamber where Damian stays and pushed the door open.

"Damian!"

He called, and Damian, who was fast asleep at the table with his head resting on his arms, moved.

He gradually turned his head and glanced at Luthiel with his purple eyes.

"Luthiel, what is it?" He asked, tiredly, and Luthiel, who didn't have time to waste, stormed into the room and grabbed him by the collar of his robe.

"Her life's at stake, so follow me." He pulled him along, and they hurried back to his chamber.

He shut the door behind them, and the instant Damian's eyes fell on Yennefer, he halted, flabbergasted by the terrible state that she was in.

"What is wrong with her?" He asked as he walked near the bed she was lying on.

"I don't know. I woke up to her being like this." He clarified, and Damian gently grabbed Yennfer's hand.

"She's so cold...like a snake." He exclaimed, and Luthiel quickly turned Yennefer's head to show him the snake bite on her neck.

"It seems she has been bitten by one." He explained, and a deep frown made its way to Damian's face.

"But... what sort of snake could have bitten her? She should have been dead by now if it was a normal snake."

He contemplated and suddenly widened his eyes as though having realized something.

"Wait... did she vomit? Was she in a lot of pain as though she was being tortured?" He inquired, and Luthiel slightly shook his head at him in confusion.

"No….she didn't vomit, but she was in very deep pain. Is everything okay?" He asked in an apprehensive tone, and Damian chuckled.

"No, this is okay and bad at the same time." He replied, and Luthiel creased his brows at him.

"What do you mean?" He inquired.

"You see, my theory tells me that what bit her is a Lamora. It's an ancient snake and does not act at will. It is used by sorcerers to kill people silently, so I believe that whoever did this is after Yennefer's life."

"She's honestly quite strong to have endured till now because it takes less than a few minutes to kill. It has to torture the living hell out of you first before proceeding to mercilessly kill you."

"It's a good thing she has yet to vomit, because if she has, then there is no saving her." He explained.

"So... what you are saying is that she can still be saved?" Luthiel asked, and he nodded his head at him.

"Indeed, all you need to do is to suck the poison out." He clarified, and Luthiel flickered his eyes at him.

"What? Me? Suck it out?" He questioned and Damian nodded at him.

"Of course! I'm not the one who will do it. Although if you don't want to, you might as well let her die. After all, even after you suck the poison out, there is no hundred percent chance that she will live."

He shrugged as he explained, and Luthiel frantically darted his eyes around.

"I see…." He took a deep breath and nervously squatted down beside her on the bed.

He reached out his hand to touch her pale face and turned her head to look at the two bite marks on her neck.

He shut his eyes, and with a gulp, he leaned down and began to suck the poison out through the two holes.

Damian smiled widely as he stared, and a sneaky glint twinkled in his eyes.

Of course, he had ways in which he could have dispensed the poison.

He could have simply cut a small section of her arms open and used his magic to draw the poison out, but he doesn't mind giving Luthiel a little push.

Luthiel would continue to be in denial, so if it means being this shameless, he doesn't mind, as long as it would cause those romantic feelings to burn hotter.

He chuckled softly and immediately stopped smiling when he saw Luthiel raise his head.

"Quickly, spit the poison ou...." His words faded when Luthiel suddenly swallowed the poison.

"Did you just swallow the poison?" He questioned, and Luthiel turned his head to look at him.

"It was a mistake. Am I gonna die?" He inquired, and Damian found himself nearly bursting into laughter.

"You really think the venom of a Lamora could kill you? How much you have degraded yourself. Tsk. I might as well kill you with tofu."

He shook his head in disbelief, and a grimace arose on Luthiel's face.

"This tastes very terrible. I can't feel my tongue." He complained, and Damian rolled his eyes at him.

"Did I ask you to swallow it?" He questioned, and Luthiel ignored him.

He stood to his feet and glanced at Yennefer.

"When will she wake up?" He inquired.

"When we find who did this and break the spell, She's out of danger now, but she will never gain consciousness until we break the spell."

He explained, and Luthiel quickly turned around to look at him.

"What?!!!"
