"G-general." He struggled up to his feet as he pleaded.
Luthiel, whose eyes were already filled with killing intent, grabbed him by the throat and banged his head against the wall.
He held onto his skull and stared him dead in the eyes.
"Do you have any last words?" He questioned.
Celvit's body trembled, and he parted his bloody lips to ask. "Are you doing this because of her? She is a criminal, General, and she deserves to die. I did more than the right thing by killing him-"
Before his words could entirely escape his mouth, Luthiel broke his neck, killing him instantly.
He threw him to the floor and mercilessly stomped on his head, breaking his skull.
"Go to hell." He scoffed and walked out of the chamber.
His eyes returned to their normal emerald color, and he took a long, deep breath.
He took his boots off and held them in his hands, then returned back upstairs to his chamber.
He pushed the door open, and the moment he stepped inside, he met Damian, whose eyes had already lost their light.
"I feel so..." Damian fell before he could finish his words, but Luthiel quickly caught onto him before he could reach the floor.
He walked him towards the chair and sat him down.
"Are you okay?" He inquired, but Damian did not utter a word but just buried his head in his arms.
He breathed heavily and let out a deep breath to calm himself down.
"Damian-"
"Leave me alone, Luthiel." He stated this before Luthiel could even start his sentence.
Luthiel drew his head back and pinched between his brows, obviously aware that Damian was angry with him.
"Look, Damian, I know that you are mad at me, but-"
"But what? But what, Luthiel?!" Damian quickly raised his head and questioned him aggressively.
"You are so selfish! I do everything for you! I am loyal to you and am always ready to save and give you the protection you would ever need. Luthiel, I have been protecting you since you were a kid!"
"I have literally done everything for you, but what have you done for me?!..... I know we got separated after what happened, but still!"
"I know you don't care about me. I know you've never liked me since you were a kid, but... even if it was just a little bit, I wanted you to care. You knew how much this drains me, how much it saps my energy, and yet you didn't care. All you wanted was to punish the one who hurt someone you love-"
"I don't love he!"
"Yes, you do! Stop lying to yourself. I don't care anyways, but I just want to let you know that I won't do just anything for you anymore, and neither will I let you threaten me with the fact that you will no longer give me my freedom."
"I have had enough! I don't care about freedom anymore. Even if it takes another hundred years for me to gain my freedom by myself, I am ready to wait until then. I don't need you to help me gain my freedom."
He glared at him and got up from the chair.
He staggered towards the door and left the chamber, leaving Luthiel to stare at his disappearing back.
A long, deep whiff fled Luthiel's nose, and he turned around when he heard a soft yawn.
"Yennefer!" A glint of relief immediately flashed in his eyes, and he stood up from the chair.
"Luthiel." Yennefer sat up on the bed and stood to her feet.
She grabbed onto her neck, and a slight grimace of pain emerged on her face.
"My neck. It hurts." She hissed and her eyes immediately widened the next moment, when she felt her body being suddenly grabbed and held tightly.
She furiously blinked her eyes and stood dormant, trying to process what was happening at that moment.
"I am glad that you're okay." Luthiel's gentle voice flew into her ears, and he hugged her tightly, showing just how deeply he had ended up caring for her.
"Luthiel… Is everything okay?" She inquired, still unable to believe that he was hugging her with so much care in his embrace.
"Everything is fine." He replied and drew back from the hug.
He glanced at her face and cleared his throat, seeing the blush on her cheeks.
"Your face... looks like a tomato." He spoke to her.
Yennefer immediately grabbed her cheeks and vigorously blinked her eyes.
"I am just feeling cold." She said, and Luthiel slowly nodded his head.
"I see."
Awkwardness filled the entire room, and they stood staring at each other, each unsure of what to say.
"Um… May I inquire as to what happened to me whi-"
The alarm bell suddenly began to ring so loudly, and both immediately turned their heads.
"What's going on?" Yennefer asked.
Luthiel, who already knew why the alarm bell was being sounded, shook his head and moved towards the rack to grab another clean boot.
"I will be back." He said to Yennefer and made his way out of the chamber.
