Tell Me What You Saw!

Damian stood up from the chair and strolled towards the bed.

He squatted down and grabbed onto Yennefer's hand.

"She's still alive, just in a coma." He commented and turned around to look at Luthiel.

"I am not sure what is wrong here, but... what I am very sure of is that, if the person who did this is truly dead, then Yennefer should be awake by now." A soft breath fled his nose.

"So, what you are trying to say is that... the prisoner is not the real culprit?" Luthiel asked.

"Yes. I presume that whoever did it must have used that prisoner as a cover-up. Damian agreed.

"But…who could have done this? I can't bring myself to think of anyone who would have wanted to."

Luthiel's hands balled into tight fists in frustration, unable to think of anything.

"I don't really know, but I believe that we are missing something." Damian said.

"I have a feeling that whoever did that is right in our glimpse, yet we can't see him or her." Luthiel concurred, and as though having thought of something, he quickly proceeded to rush out of the chamber.

"Hey! Where are you goi-"

"I think I might find something. I will be back in a few minutes." Luthiel hurriedly explained and scurried away.

He rushed downstairs and hurried towards the cell.

He stepped inside and glanced at all the criminals, who cowered back in fear under his heavy gaze.

He looked at all of them and walked towards the young one with blonde hair and blue eyes.

He squatted down to his level and stared at him with his head tilted to one side.

"Did you see anything? Anyone come in here and mess with your inmate? The one that recently died?" He asked in such a calm voice, and the boy gazed at him, unable to utter a word.

Luthiel glanced at the rest of the prisoners and grabbed the boy's slim hands.

He unlocked the chains that were strapped to the boy's hands and pulled him up.

"Come with me."

He led him out of the cell and to a quiet corner where no one could hear them.

"Tell me what you saw. Who was it?" He pried, but the boy stood staring at him with fear in his eyes.

Luthiel was a man who could see lies and truth within one's eyes, and at that moment, he knew that the boy had seen something, but the boy was simply too afraid to tell.

"It seems you won't talk." Now actually irritated by the fact that the boy wouldn't spill a word, Luthiel gripped him by the jaw and gazed into his blue eyes.

"Stay still! I won't hurt you." He said to the boy and touched his head.

He whispered, "ELEVITE VIEL SEVAR, UN LEVENOR ASKET SEL LEVEAL."

The boy's eyes immediately dilated to the point that one would think his eyeballs would fall off, and Luthiel gently placed his hand on his eyes.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath as he proceeded to view what the boy had seen.

His body trembled in anger as he took in what he saw, and once he had seen all, he let go of the boy.

Rage bubbled in his heart, and he sent the boy back into the cell.

He shut it and returned to the chamber.

Damian jumped out of his chair as soon as he noticed the terrible expression on his face.

"Is…everything okay?" He inquired.

Luthiel angrily punched the wall, causing cracks to immediately appear, and turned to look at Damian with rage in his eyes.

"I want you to do something for me." He abruptly said.

"Um…what? What do you want me to do?" Damian inquired in a suspicious tone.

"Everyone within this castle, I want you to put them to sleep."

"What?!!! Luthiel, are you out of your mind?" Damian questioned in disbelief.

"I am serious!" Luthiel replied with fury visible in his tone.

"Luthiel, I cannot do that. You of all people should know how drained I am when I do that. It drains every single bit of power within me. I would be powerless! And at that, you want me to put everyone to sleep?"

"No, not everyone." There is one person that you have to leave out. Celvit!" He clarified.

"Luthiel, Are you even listening to me?"

"Damian, do this or forget about getting your freedom." Luthiel threatened and shocked, a gasp of disbelief fled Damian's mouth.

"What? Are you kidding me?" He asked, and Luthiel stared at him with all seriousness in his eyes.

"I see. Well, if that is what you want, then fine! I will give you what you want!!" He yelled and clapped his hands together, sending a wave of mist to encompass the entire castle.

The mists flew through every opening and sent everyone, including the royal family, into a slumber. all except Celvit.

"They won't sleep for long, so whatever you want to do, do it fast!"

He warned, and Luthiel immediately turned around.

He rushed out of the chamber and hurried downstairs.

He proceeded towards Celvit's chamber and stormed inside.

He glanced at Celvit, and his green eyes instantly changed to a deep red, as though they were burning.

"How dare you?" He spoke in a deadly voice and fisted his hands, causing Celvit, who was lying on the bed, to immediately awake from his sleep and start choking on his own breath.

"G-general-"

He tried to speak but found himself unable to.

Luthiel lifted him into midair and glared at him with fury in his eyes.

"You hurt her! You hurt her and pretended before me!" He shouted in anguish, and deep fear flashed before Celvit's eyes.

"G-general! I'm sorry! I-"

"Keep quiet!!" Luthiel flung him against the wall, and he crashed heavily before plummeting to the ground.
