The hover car descended slowly into the school district's parking lot, which was filled with luxury cars resembling a major car show, and most of them belonged to the students.


Although the school occasionally admitted students like Lu Xiang, who lacked significant background, the overwhelming majority who were qualified to study here came from upper-middle-class families or higher. According to Seventh District statistics from ten years prior, students without corporate or family background constituted a mere 2.3% of the school's population.


Song Lan felt this was a problem of overall uneven distribution of educational resources. In fact, children from non-core urban areas generally had a very low level of education and would often start roaming the streets not long after becoming sensible. In 2166, there was no concept of compulsory education, and with such a vast wealth gap, ordinary families tended to prefer quicker ways to earn money.
