By the time he placed the cremated remains and belongings into the urn, it was already the afternoon. The teaching assistant returned to his residence, quickly packed his luggage, and handed in his resignation to the academy.

The only reason he had come to this city to be a teaching assistant was because of Professor Myles, and now that this reason no longer existed, it was time for him to embark on a new journey in his life.

He faced the mirror, adjusted his bangs, and took one last look at the place where he had lived for so many years, then left without any reluctance.

The plane ticket to The First Region was for 19:30, and in less than two hours he would bid farewell to this city. Just like Professor Myles, he would seal away all the painful memories and the past he didn't want to face.

As he stepped out of the academy's gate, his phone chimed with a notification of an incoming message.
