This is a corridor so long it seems never to end, leading the way for Song Lan and Lu Xiang is a robot navigator miss wearing a professional suit dress with a graceful human silhouette.


The sound of her high heels tapping rhythmically on the floor is almost the only sound in this space other than her narration.


The term "silhouette" is used because the navigator miss's face lacks features, which, in this dimly lit environment, could potentially evoke the primal fear of the uncanny valley effect.


The navigator miss wears a holographic electronic watch, with a pale blue halo circling her wrist. She taps the screen of the watch with her index finger a few times, and a holographic screen appears in front of them both.
