As a mere wage worker, Song Lan ultimately could not dodge the fate of a business trip.


After he briefly arranged work at H1, amidst the farewells of his colleagues, he carried a bag of pork buns and boarded the hovercraft bound for the "Old World".


The Old World was Lu Xiang's term for the prison, said to be so vast it didn't seem like a prison but a real world unknown to anyone. Even the Councilors rarely knew of its existence—only the top echelons of companies that deal with artificial intelligence all day, like Tesla Technology and military technology, could have some sort of contact with that world.


Since the Dark Age, mechanical entities have drawn boundaries with humans and established their own enclaves on uncharted lands.


But from the fragments of information revealed by Lu Xiang, one could see that the Old World was definitely not a pleasant place, especially since many vicious criminals from the Dark Age were imprisoned there.
