You Have To Beg Him

Gemma's mother clutched her pearls as she kept staring at the divorce papers she had handed her.

Gemma feared for her, she looked like she was about to have a heart attack. She kept screaming "oh my god," at some point she seemed like she was hyperventilating and Gemma had to take the papers from her.

"Don't sign it, you can't sign it, you have to go back and beg him to forgive you for whatever it is that you have done, you can't sign that document," her mother said as she went to sit on one of the couch fanning her face with her hand.

"And what makes you think that it's my fault?" Gemma asked trying not to scream. Why does her mother have to always assume the worst about her? Why does everything always have to be her fault?

"Because I know you, I know what you are capable of. Gemma, you have to go and ask for his forgiveness. Beg, cry if you have to, you can't allow him to divorce you."
