Change in the Great Dao

The Heavens lost its luster, countless bolts of lightning crisscrossed haphazardly. Darkness befell the Wild Forest, men and beasts alike were startled by the strange phenomenon.

A black hole gradually opened in the sky, with darkness above the void, it was like a void beast opening it mouth to devour the earth. Ancient and terrifying whispers were heard.

Blood flowed out of the seven orifices of the humans that heard the ancient whispers. The voices were hoarse, thunderous and sharp. A pitch black building gradually emerged, the rain turn pitch black. Roars of terrifying creatures, expressing their anger and indignation was heard.

The building was just like a Miniature Pagoda, it hovered in the sky for a long-time as if afraid of people not noticing the grandeur emergence.

Pictures of dragons, phoenixes and black tortoise appeared in the sky. Ancient victorious music accompanied. The phenomenal shook the Wild Forest. The beasts trembled, they lowered their gazes ad bowed before life-like creatures dancing in the sky. At some point in time, all cultivators had fallen to their knees, blood kept pouring out of their seven orifices.

Ye Mo was no exception, greed shown on his eyes, it was written in the school library ta of the present era would have to fight for it.

Cultivators all around the Wild Forest had the same thoughts, their eyes burned with passion, this was surely an extremely powerful ancient inheritance.

Cultivators in the northern gate was startled and had to stop their closed door cultivations because of the anomaly in the Wild Forest. Old monsters who had long excluded themselves from the secular world showed up in succession.

Major clans, powerful elites dropped what they had on their hands and shot towards the Wild Forest with lightning speed.

Like a huge stone dropped into the ocean, it stirred up waves across the whole ocean.

The entirety of the Kung Fu continent experienced a divine black out.

In a splendid palace, a middle-aged man sitting on the throne received a message, his eyes opened fiercely, an air of dominance and prestige radiated from his body until it covered the entire palace.

His body vanished from the spot, as he shot towards the Wild Forest in the Northern Gate but his majestic voice exploded like thunder. "All cultivators move to the Northern Gate now!!".

In a mountain range surrounded by thick death qi, an old man dressed in black sackcloth stared at the void for a long time, a silver ripple covered his eyes, his old voice sounded shaking the mountains, "Head to the Northern Gate". He wasted no time and vanished from the spot.

In a peaceful ambient and buddhist temple, an old monk sat on his praying mat, cultivating. An holy and peaceful aura encompassed round about him. Mysterious chants could be heard. His calm eyes opened slowly. "Disciples, head to the Northern Gate". His sage like voice brought wisdom to the listeners.

"All nuns head to the Northern Gate".

Different orders were issued, various teleportation opened. Cultivators riding on aerial beasts, long sword, chariots and flying carriages all flocked to the Wild Forest.

In a mysterious realm, an old man in white clothes sat alone on a mountain. The mountain peak pierced through the sky. Standing on the mountain, one's hand would be able to touch the sky. The old man sat there like a statue, he was like an illusion, his presence was one with the heaven and earth. If one did not pay detailed attention, they would see an empty mountain.

The mountain was like an independent space. Everything about the old man was perfect; white air, eyebrows. His old face did not have the slightest wrinkle.

Swishing sound broke the silence of the mountain. Figures of different shapes and sizes appeared on the foot of the mountain. They were dressed in different clothing's, few had horns on their head; some were covered in scales, holy and demonic auras radiated from their bodies, different temperaments; gentle, calm, majestic, ferocious, savage, serene, cunning.

But one thing that was common among them was that they possessed formidable auras. Their bearing sublimed with the heaven and earth. It was like a single sneeze from them would cause the heavens to shake. But they all stood at the foot of the mountain, no one dared set foot on the pure white stairs leading to the mountaintop. They waited silently and patiently.

The space felt suffocated by their presence. The heavens parted revealing a dark and distant void, a stream of white light flew out of the old man's hand and entered the void.

It passed through many layers of matter, a huge mirror materialized out of thin air. All that was happening in the void was reflected on the mirror. Ancient whispers, wails, roars and laughter spread out of the mirror. The cultivators on the mountain foot all had different facial expressions, most of them had pale faces, for the slightly weaker ones, blood flowed out of their seven orifice. Their qi experienced a chaotic fluctuation.

The white light came to an halt. The void they now saw filled with worm-like patterns, they held profound enlightment and truth, they were like the writings of the heaven that contained the secret of eternal life.

The cultivators were lost in its wonder. The patterns seemed to have an erratic yet consistent motion. The thread like patterns had different colors, they were like small lakes that connected together to form an even larger lake which could not be seen. If someone with a stronger stared at it for a long time, they will be able to see the heaven rhythm that was contained within the patterns, they patterns were like different paths that lead to different destinations. They were covered in mysterious runic symbols.

Some of the cultivators sat cross-legged, as they immersed themselves in this profound patterns, like a drunkard that wants the whole wine bottle after tasting just a sip, they couldn't extricate theirselves from the intoxication.

The purest form of energy crashed down from the void akin to a tidal wave, the mirror shattered, it blasted a huge hole on the crystalline floor, forming a pit made of pure energy.

An enormous eye appeared in the void, it covered the entire void and cut off their connection from the outside world. Their faces turn pale, they put up a defensive stance as they stared at the big eye in the sky with wariness. The majesty, indifference and power the eye held, made a being beneath it tremble with awe and fear.

The void closed, the enormous eye scanned them with disdain, it made their skin burn in shame and reluctance. The eye strained it gaze on the old man before disappearing. Clearly nothing had caught it attention.

"The Great Dao has changed, a strange phenomenal has appeared, our preparation needs to be hastened.

"I don't know if this is a good news or a bad one, the appearance of that anomally has changed the Heavenly Dao. Spiritual energy will be ten times more than before. The Primordial upheaval era has been brought forward.

"Ancient and powerful divine souls will be awokened by the younger generation. Train them well, we don't have much time. Resources will be scarce, no doubt but provide them with the resources needed. The selection is imminent, strive hard." The old man sighed as he said with a stern voice, his eyes that held the profoud wisdom of life stared into the void.

"I need to recuperate, if it is not important, don't disturb my cultivation. Send the envoys to the lower world to keep them in check and recruit the talented cultivators." His voice faded with the wind as his body turned incorporeal.

The figures at the foot of the mountain, wipe off cold sweat from their face, some of them spat out the blood they held in their mouth.

They wore grim and grave faces, with no interactions, they disappeared and the mountain regained it original serenity.

The pitch black ancient building slowly descended, the void closed. Countless cultivators lost their lives due to the terrifying wordings from the ancient voices.

All the assassins mobilised by the Tenth Master were wiped out, not a single one of them survived. Corpses of beasts overlapped with each other, the Wild Forest turned into a bloody forest in less than ten minutes.

Ye Mo gaze was filled with horror, the spot where the black building was descending to, was the spot he was standing. His legs refused to budge, no, he had no strength to moved, the overwhelming aura of the building hit him squarely.

He was just a puny insect under it presence. The descent of the black building did not stop, the black door of the building opened and an irresistible suction force enveloped him. He vanished from the spot. A blinding light was released and the building disappeared into thin air.

By the time the various factions from all sides arrived, they met a bloody forest, hill of corpses and beast was scattered in different places.

Not a single sign of life remained, they combed the wild forest but the treasure that caused the uproar was nowhere to be seen.

Fight broke out for the beast corpse, the powerful figured split them between themselves. They did that in a heavy and cautious manner.

Spirit beast, Master beasts died and even Grandmaster beast were not spared.

Some of the faction leaders swore in their hearts that they stood no winning chance against such ferocious beast. The appearance of the black robes, bronze masked cultivators caused an uproar, the terrifying force had revived after years of inactivity. They hurriedly reported their findings to their respective factions, a stitch in time saves nine, they had to race against the clock in their preparation against the evil force. Their mind drifted away from the present case with their ignorance of a survivor who mysteriously disappeared.
