Father and daughter engage in a verbal war

Clarisse sighed as she pushed the hallway door open and walked into the sitting room. She immediately sensed the presence of another being and so she looked up at the balcony above in the sitting room; her father was standing there, staring right towards her.

"You are late," Garrick said in a nonchalant tone, and then he rushed down to her with the speed of wind.

Clarisse scoffed. "I didn't know I was on curfew," she said and walked past him, slightly brushing shoulders. She was still devastated with the way things went tonight. Her only vampire friend was spying on her and her boyfriend thinks she is a cheat.

"Clarisse, you are not supposed to be out so late at night? You know it is not safe out there, so what were you doing out so late?" Garrick asked in a loud voice.
