Chapter 27: A Suspicious Thing

A flow of panic ran over me. My hands were shaking and my heart was beating so fast that I could hear it in my ears.

It was him. Timothy Montgomery's bodyguard, stalking me while I was heading home.

What was Aiden's uncle doing with sending his favorite bodyguard to follow me? What would he gain from watching me?

Or worse, did Aiden want this? Was everything at his request?

It did make sense that his uncle had me followed, since Aiden told me that they wondered about me, which was enough to give me panic attacks.

I wondered if I could take more of it. But I clinged to those moments I had with Aiden, they were the best thing in my life I've ever had and I had no intention of forgetting about them.

He kept following me, I could almost feel his breath on my neck. I almost forgot how to go home and I was sure I was going to throw up from anxiety.
