He led me into one of the small rooms. He turned on the lights aggressively and I immediately looked for an extra exit.
I saw the balcony before me, it looked big. A couple of rooms were facing the same balcony, I remembered the view I saw while I was waiting outside with Aiden earlier that night.
He was breathing heavily. He knew.
He knew everything.
There was a cashmere couch and a wooden table. He put his hands on the table and leaned forward. The arms of his suit were stretched.
‘’So, tell me, Lara,’’ he started with a grumpy face. ‘’Why did you just decide to come and ruin everything?’’
I wasn’t prepared for anything he said. This wasn’t an exception.
‘’I don’t understand,’’ I said slowly, keeping a straight face.
‘’You don’t understand?’’ he mocked with a fake smile.
‘’Eli, I have to go if you’re going to keep acting like this,’’ I stepped back.
I was scared. There was no way not to be.
