Bad feeling

The rest of their conversation passed by in a blur , with Chloe not able to register most of the things the handsome weird stranger said to her. But three things were able to register perfectly in her mind .

One was the threat , the second was the instructions and the third she couldn't bring herself to say it out loud,the mere thought of it felt like a suicide mission to her.

After putting her through the misery of doing the unspeakable he still has the nerve to smile all through the conversation, despite his smiles the threat in his tone was evident.

' How am I supposed to kill tabs on Liam Reigns!' , this is absurd ,he will kill me if he ever finds out about this ' gosh !.

' Help me Lord ! , have I not been punished enough ! Getting married to that man alone is a huge punishment, spying on him is digging my grave. His grudge towards me is yet to be pacified , he despises me a lot and am I going to do this ? '

'My brother's life is at stake if I don't do what he asks , what am I going to do ? Am caught between the devil and the deep blue sea, I have a bad feeling about this'.

" About what ? "

" Geez! Daisy, you scared me !"

" Girl , why do you look like you've just seen a ghost , I mean you were in a daze when I walked in ". Daisy asked with an awkward smile on her lips,Chloe gulped hard , ' did I just say that out loud? , hope she didn't hear it.

" Ahh, about that I was thinking of getting another job " Chloe replied nervously

" Another job? Why ? What happened? "

" Liam found out , he literally caught me in the act ", Chloe narrated her ordeal at the club to Daisy ,who had a look of pity on her face. Daisy's shoulder dropped when she heard Chloe, her smile faltered .

" And I rushed here with hopes of celebrating your first day with you " She sighed, reached out across the table and held Chloe's hands.

" I know this whole contract marriage thing has taken a toll on you , it's been barely four days since you got married. Things are this way, look at you all lame and pale ".

" But hey, it's fine, look on the bright side , why don't you try and make this marriage work out between you and Liam" .

" I mean, I know it's a contract marriage,but you can still make it a real one " Daisy voiced out her concerns.

" Humph " Chloe scoffed, ' I wish things would be that way but it's the other way round . With what I am about to do the marriage will not only work ,Liam is going to kill me '. She thought within herself.

" What !, It might if you give it a chance you never know " Daisy said with a shrug of her shoulder.

Chloe cupped her cheeks with her hands and blew hot air to her face , staring blankly into space.

"You ordered a brandy ? " Daisy asked and raised a brow at her .

" It's..N-no"

" I know you have a lot on your plate Chloe, but you shouldn't result in this ! You know you can't hold your liquor ." She scolded her half-heartedly.

Liam stood in his large spacious office , his two hands stashed in his pocket , in front of his glass office overlooking the city .

When his secretary Richard walked up to him .

" Sir your guess was right , Klaus approached Madam . the CCTV footage of their conversation has been sent to your email." Richard explained

" That will be all for now Richard " Liam said, his back still facing his secretary. Richard bowed a little and walked out of his office.

" Looks like Rivero has stepped up his game , what do you plan to do with Chloe " Blaze who was seated on the couch, his legs crossed leisurely over the other . He swirled the glass of wine he was holding.his gaze fixed on Liam's back.

Liam turned when he heard Blaze's question , he took a few steps to his chair and sat behind the mahogany table . His hands rested on the table clasped together. His face was unreadable at the moment.

" How do you mean? " he asked, his eyes not leaving Blaze.

" You've got a spy in your house , Blaze smirked, aren't you concerned about it ?"

" Why should I be? In fact I will make the task very easy for her, " Liam replied with a devious smile plastered on his lips . Blaze lips curled up in amusement, he couldn't place his hands on what his brother has in mind for his contract bride.
