The days passed in a kind of dream-like haze for the pack, who hadn’t been expecting snow at all this year. The pups were happy as the Holidays started early for them but the adults were a little more grumpy about having to shovel snow. However, the ones who were in a really bad mood and that everyone was staying away from, were the ones working to get the meeting hall ready for the council of leaders.
It made sense to Vincent, who knew that the drive over the Hudson bridge was treacherous during winter conditions. Having to go over it a bunch of times in one week would make anyone grouchy. Still, they were doing good work and actually gave him a smile whenever he brought them a plate of goodies to eat after work was finished. That had been his idea and they were grateful that he appreciated them.
