7. Eyes that have seen all (2)

I gulp.

There is no way that Mint could win such a fight, not with... Persephone on the team.

Hades being a recruiter for team Atlantis, wanted to find his Persephone, and make them be on the team. Hence he recruited Aphrodite, the first person to get the Persephone title, and Aerith, who now was called as Life.

"Persephone. Her powers are of a berserk spell from games, or perhaps a charm, like she claimed when she was Aphrodite. She can, beautifully, make believe a lie, or rage or calm someone."

Hades believed that she plants 'seeds' into the minds of people, and controls them to an extent. Hence why he believed she truly was Persephone.

This Aphrodite, yet, even now, went with the title of Persephone. Another reason why Aerith chose to have a different name to herself.

"But rage won't work on that calm mind..." Mind says.

Alright, I guess we need to just make peace with these 'mind'-dialogues.

"That obviously isn't the target. The target is obvious," I say.

Aphrodite enrages her teammate, and enraged him. He was common for this routine.

"Rumble. His strength increases through anger. You must have fought him Super-pack," I say.

"I have," Super-pack says.

As Rumble screams and runs towards Mint, she just stays there, and he stops right ahead of her.

Mint lifts her hand, ever so slowly, forms a fist, and knocks Rumble out.

"What the hell?" Point-zero asks.

"That is something she never used in the TTT," I scoff. "She can release a calming scent. That scent keeps... well, her enemies calmer."

I was jealous that her lips would never be dry because of it, which was yet another application, moisturization. And I heard she smells nice because of that, but she never revealed that it was due to this scent.

"Yield?" Mint asks.

Persephone goes hand-in-hand, but in the end Mint just pins her down.

"And Creme wins the first match of TTT 2028," the announcer announces, and everyone cheers. "And Mint at this rate, could become an Ace of her team, so we'd like to wish her luck for that possible feat."

"Bummer that we weren't selected for the first half," Super-pack says.

Being a large number of teams, the first rounds of all teams occur in two halves... Since there are 88 teams, the first half has 22 fights, which goes on for a day, and the second half has another 22 fights, which goes on the second day.

Since the start of the matches started at around 5 o'clock, a day was considered as until the next day's 5 o'clock.

The winning 44 teams go through the same procedure, winners of the first half compete against each other, with 11 matches, on the third day, and second half's winners would have their 11 matches on the fourth day.

The 22 teams then, randomised, compete with one-another, on the fifth day, with 11 total matches, to have the top 11 for the quarter-finals.

In the quarter finals, there would only be one match. All the 11 teams go crazy on a larger field, and fight until members from only any eight teams are left. This occurs on the sixth day.

On the early morning of the seventh day, the semi finals commence. Where every team forms allies of three other teams, and competes in a four-on-four team battle.

At the nearing midnight of the seventh day, the winning four teams should fight on the battlefield, reasonably against the final boss, and any other special entrances. And after that, should fight against each other, in case the winner couldn't be peacefully decided from the remaining on the battlefield.

Well, all this meant that our matches would be at the second and fourth day, which clearly sucked.

"It is according to registration time right?" I ask.

"Well, that's a guess, it never was revealed," Point-zero says.

"I have no idea about the right option either," I say.

The teams of the second match of the first half, enter the battlefield. Goal-done, an American team, and Furons, a British team.

"Maybe we could decide which English to use now," Secret-eye snickers.

"Let's not go down that path," I say.

No one seem new, in either of the teams. Yet it was a tough guess here.

Here Furons and Goal-done have six members each.

"Furons, with members, Faron, Uster, Riley, Onon, Neon, Syle," I say.

Faron, Riley and Onon, are females, just so you know.

"Faron is a mantle passed on to the current Faron, from her father. They excel in chivalry. Their Faron's halberd is the mantle-passing weapon. It can be thrown and called back, the axe-part can be separated and used, when the spear-part is thrown.

"The obvious weakness is, there is no worthiness here, the Farons just know to use it better, the enemies can still get hold of the spear and use it. But it wouldn't be a weapon you want to just simply break, like Hades' scythe.

A girl in a knight's armour, metal eye mask of maroon colour. That ripped, confident, beautiful girl, is the current Faron.

"Uster. From the town, Uster. Hailing from such a town, Uster is the only superhero from there. Heightened senses. But just due to that, and his ability to create an illusion, he can't evade something he doesn't already see, in case the enemy has a decoy themselves."

Uster was any normal superhero in any superhero novel, or game, or what-not.

"Riley. She works best in forest-like terrain. She can easily disappear in such terrain and has marvellous abilities there. Otherwise, she can merely be seen as a very keen evader. A distraction herself. I'm thinking both Uster and her will tag along and fool the opponents."

Riley was a seasonal superhero. If there was something like a forest terrain, she could exceed many, but that wasn't ever a thing in TTT, and she couldn't shine.

"Onon. Basically an Oni. She has a spiked mace, which she breaks in every match she fights, without a doubt. But as she does, she at least brings down one person. She can cause tremors. She can even fly."

A bulky lady, not caring for her revealed face, stood there, with a heavy, spiked mace in her hands, and sweating already. Did I mention that she was bulky?? She was bigger than any wrestler you could have seen. Maybe as bulk as the Rock.

"Neon. His is another weapon related power, light saber like, ACTUAL sabres, which make it dark all around, making the only source of light, the Neo blades. Without his blades he is just a human. His blades can't be used the same, by others."

Except me I'd say. It was just a mere spell which I have recited very well. It goes... 'Somnum icaru neon beshindana'. Somnum meant sleep, icaru represented Icarus, I think. But what was the whole deal with that, the clear meaning, I didn't know.

"Syle is another terrain-based superhero, who is good in waters. But in the dark he can start swimming in the air and is faster. Syle is the youngest. Weakness, his scales aren't exactly armour."

On the other hand, Goal-done, all of them in their fine golden suits and armours, or at least of similar shades.

Goalie, Kicker, Player, Cheer, Snack-break, and Captain.

"Goalie is a pretty bulky dude, who wears armour and defends. His armour is summoned by him. Someone like Onon could definitely knock him out with a hard hit, even if he can't be pierced. His armour is a great deal.

"Kicker is a top martial artist. Nothing much special, but gets the job done. Wears a latex suit.

"Player is an illusionist, a player. He can summon five illusions at a time, and switch places with them, if his real self is going to be hit.

"Cheer is basically the cheerleader. Like Aphrodite, she can enrage someone, but it is more like an inspiration, it actually IS a power, it makes people enchanted by it, stronger.

"Snack-break must actually be given the title of Bowel. She can make people nauseous, or hungry, or make them pee, she... she is very weird yet helpful. But it depends on the victim's strength on the matter. It is purely weird.

"And finally, Captain. Captain is the sworn enemy of the Farons. The current Faron's dad was his sworn enemy, now the daughter. He claims that the Halberd is his family weapon, but without proof. Anyways, he is an armoured guy with a shield and sword."

The match was pretty tight, especially because of Onon. So it'd be hard to decide who'd win.

"So who'd win?" Point-zero asks.

I sigh loudly. "It is a tough decision, but I'd bet on Goal-done. Captain can take out Onon, that is something which will happen."

As the match commences, I get bored and look across the stadium, with my vision, many familiar faces were here. Heck, I knew everyone, I had seen some since when I was a child, and few for a couple years, no one was unknown.

There must be something interesting, someone interesting...
