Epilogue

Shit, this can't be happening.

"So it was Toni," Antonia rejoices. "I'm so happy for you. Even though you basically, technically, cheated on me…"

Antonia's voice fades into the background. Neither I or Varon hear it. We could only see his particular memory. One particular memory. That moment…

"There seems to be cases of a new group striking into the city, going around and tossing their vandalism and flags," somebody on the TV says, and I look at some images… as if that could even change anything about the present.

This living room… how long had I been here? Watching. Waiting for all of this to end. I think the end is finally around the corner.

"After Adleon, they are working on a way to 'solve crime' with their own kind of terrorism. All we can expect is for the nameless hero to cure us from this. For taking down this group which calls themselves-"

"Oh, why did you just switch it off?" Toni asks Varon, while entering the apartment. "That seemed… important," she says and scans his face. "What's with your face, everything alright?"

"Just a pondering question, Toni," Varon says.

No, Varon, please.

"What is it?" Toni asks, with Toni's curiosity up her face.

"If you could have any kind of powers… okay, that's quite a lot of options. If you could be any hero at all… who would you be?"

"Oh that's a qo-"

"-oh, actually I do still want to change the question. That's inappropriate to ask you, isn't it?" Varon chuckles. "The right question should be… which villain would you be?"

Toni lifts her eyebrow, and looks at Varon… her smile fading.

"It is only a simple question. I expect a simple answer. What really is confusing about the question…? I think we both know the answer to it, Season."

No.

I see expressions transform on Toni's face… a lot of confusion… but she comes to a conclusion. And Varon starts losing his mind, as he finds Toni becoming Season, right in front of him. Feeling Season's hate.

But it was more than anything. It was different. It wasn't Toni, or Season, or Rem, or that room full of businessmen… it was red. A feeling of red sparks from her side. Varon says he sees her as red sparks.

Red sparks? As in… Rahambose?

As Toni and him move forward, I move in between them. Bending down. Begging them to stop. Not able to look at this, I hold my hands out… towards the two… as if I could really stop this. As if I could really change… Varon's feelings. As if I could make him forget what he had seen… Toni's wounds healing before his eyes.

Guess that fucking line is true. In the end… it is always Rahambose.
