"Why the long face has she finally dumped you for another man?" Gerald sat next to Xavier.

"She's on a business trip for her new product launch," he said.

"Then why do you look that way?" his friend asked.

"Her parents want to see me "

Gerald sprung up, "What her parents want to see you. Aren't you guys going so fast, it's not even a month and your meeting her parents "

Xavier grunted "It's not that, we both know that the investigation we did on her showed they treated her like an outcast. The only thing she has is their last name "

"So why are they interested in her life now that she's dating you?" Gerald finished.

"Every picture or news about her family she's not included you would think they never had a daughter. So I don't think they should be asking me to meet them when Liana isn't even considered family to them "

Xavier turned to his friend.

"What did Liana say about all this?" Gerald asked.

"She doesn't know about this 'cause I haven't told her," he said.

"So are you meeting them or not?"

"I want to hear what they want to say to me so am going, "said Xavier.

Gerald laughed, " Just don't do anything bad to your future inlaws or they won't give you their daughter "

"I wasn't planning on doing anything but if they step out of line I don't think I will think about any of that " Xavier got up buttoning his suit.

"All the best Xavier " Gerald waved him goodbye as a frowned appeared on his face, "will this lifetime end in tragedy too," he said.

"Good evening Mr.Gorkn " Xavier made a small nod to Liana's father and mother but didn't answer. He noticed how her father looked just like Lucian while her mother's eyes resembled Liana's.

"It's nice you accepted our invitation " Mrs.Arkness made a vague smile.

Liana's father gazed at him, "We heard about you and our daughter and wanted to meet you "

"We could have waited for her to return so we meet all together " Xavier muttered.

"She's busy so we didn't want to bother her. So we can just talk to you " her mother let out.

"So let's get straight to the point, we want you to leave Liana alone. As her parents, we think this relationship is going to do more harm than good " her father said.

Xavier sighed, "To who exactly, me and Liana or you both?"

"To you of course. My daughter is immature so we think her behaviors might harm your reputation " Mrs.Arkness said.

"Am sorry to say this but I don't think you know your daughter at all, after all, she seemed to be an outcast in the family so why do you care about her right now?" he asked.

" Didn't you hear what we said, stay away from Liana or you will regret it? You must know about all the men she dated, they all either went crazy, were abandoned by their loved ones, or lost their fame. So we are basically saving you right now " her mother's voice raised.

"Your her parents but speak about her like she's some kind of curse aren't you ashamed? You wasted my time just to say all this nonsense am disappointed that you are one of the respected fingers in the city" Xavier got up and looked down at the two parents before leaving.

"I told you not to mess with him, his not like the others you used to bully " Lucian walked to where his parents were still seated.

His smile disappeared when he saw his father glare.

"Wipe that smile off your face " his mother muttered.
