In terms of food, we have no food

POV Marie

After I woke up I yawned and decided to look around my new home because I didn't get the chance to do that last night. It's a relatively simple apartment with 4 rooms. There was one living room, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. All the rooms were connected to the living room on the right side and on the left front corner there was a small kitchen. The small bathroom was between the bedrooms and a toilet, a sink and a shower. After I saw the shower I smelled myself and discovered that I stink like garbage and sweat. 'I should shower. I wonder how it feels like. Is it going to feel like rain?' I then take my clothes of and put them on the washing machine next to the sink.

"This felt really great!" I walked out of the bathroom with only one towel covering my private parts, another on my head and my clothes in my hands. I walked back to the bedroom and placed my clothes somewhere. I noticed that Jack was still asleep and I thought 'He looks handsome when he sleeps. Oh well, time to wake him up.' "Hey Jack! It's time to wake up!" Jack mumbled "Five more minutes, mom." I didn't know how to feel about him calling me mom, so I decided to slap him. *slap* "Auch! What was that for!" "It was to wake you up, moron." I then walked out again to the kitchen to see if we have any food and when I started the fridge, I somehow felt Jack staring at me. I felt my cheeks heat up a bit for some reason, but ignored it for now and said to Jack "Jack, we have no food in the kitchen. Let's go out to eat soon." "I feel like eating Thai food then. Let's look for a Thai food stand and before I forget, I have been thinking of using the metal scraps to build a power armor, but we have to go to the garbage piles again." I sighed "You mean the Red peaks, or as some people have come to call it, the trash peaks and seriously, power armor? How exactly are you going to build it without the tools or a workspace?" Jack hummed a bit and answered "We can probably buy some tools while we go shopping for groceries and clothes. As for the workspace, I'll use the other bedroom since you said you were going to use me as your body pillow and if you are wondering why I decided to build power armor, it is to protect me when I run at the enemy with a melee weapon since I'm useless with guns as of now." I just stared at him with a deadpan expression and then realized something "By the way, how are we going to make money? My idea would be to find a job or sell some of our loot. Do you have other ideas?" "For now our best option is to sell some of our loot, except for one of the guns and preferably 12 cyberlimbs to build my power armor and a small shoulder mounted Gatling gun and after I'm done building it, we will go for gigs form a fixer." I got a little angry at Jack "Why the hell would you want to do gigs instead of normal and safe work?" He looked at me seriously "Tell me do you want to see your sister? If yes, then stop complaining because we need the money to get proper resources and tools." I just sigh making my reluctant agreement known "Let's head out soon. I'll change clothes now." He then got out of bed and went to the living room to wait for me.

POV Jack

After Marie walks back out of her room, we started to head out of the apartment and we surprisingly encountered David going out of his apartment. He looked annoyed. "Hey, are you Gloria's son?" He was a bit surprised at me and said "Yeah? What about it?" "Nothing really. I was just curious and by the way my name's Jack and the beauty next to me is called Marie." Marie nodded and greeted politely "Nice to meet you. May I know your name?" David stared a bit at us before he answered "David." "Hey David, can you also tell me how old you are. I'm just curious." David was a bit weirded out by me but said "15 years". I nodded and Marie said while smiling "Hey David could you do me a favor and tell your mother that we are inviting you both to diner at our apartment, since we are going to celebrate tonight." David blushed a bit at her, nodded and walked away quickly. 'Aw, he seems to have gained a little crush on Marie. Too bad for him that Marie doesn't seem to be interested in him. Hmm, it seems that we are two years ahead of canon. It's a shame that we don't know the exact date of when it'll happen.'

When we out of the Megabuilding we decided to drive to the ripperdoc first, to sell some cyberlimbs. When we got there we saw the ripperdoc same degenerate ripperdoc we know and love from the anime. Marie seemed annoyed at his display of degeneracy and shouted "Hey asshole, of your gonna watch porn then at least do it somewhere where we don't have to witness you getting jacked off by your tiny toy!" "Fuck off! Either you deal with it or go away! Fuckin gonk." I just sigh "We came here to sell some cyberwares for cheap." After I said cheap, he gave me his full attention. 'Greedy as ever.' "It better be worth any scratch if you gonna sell it." "Yeah, I don't guarantee anything. After all, only a fool would speak in absolutes." "Stop the fancy talk and bring the chrome." I then proceeded to go to the van and pretend that everything was in there while I get some of the cyberwares out.

When I returned he was shocked at the amount of cyberwares that I got and I started with a price "20k Eddies." He looked at me as if I was the scum of the earth and said "Are you trying to fucking scam me choom. I'd pay 5k Eddies at most!" "Alright, alright. I'll go down to 15k Eddies. Happy now?" "Has your brain scrambled or do you just act full on gonk. I'm telling you it ain't worth the amount of scratch you want!" "Oh my it seems you don't want to buy. I guess I must take it somewhere else. I guess we will sell it to the ripperdoc in wellsprings. Come on Marie it's time to go." Marie and I instantly headed towards the exit but then we heard the doc shout "Wait, wait! I changed my mind I will pay 15k Eddies, alright choom!" I smiled evilly and said "17,500 Eddies" He looked at me annoyed but still gave me the requested amount of Eddies "Pleasure doing business with you. So where I put the cyberwares?" "Just put the chrome in the corner, there." He pointed at a corner and I left it all there.

Soon after Marie and I left for Kabuki to do some shopping because apparently the best place to shop is Kabuki circle. From there we got lots of food, which was seriously expensive, some clothes, some tools and a few things for the power armor. I even got myself a bat for melee combat. We also ate some Thai food, while we familiarized our self with the location. Despite the bustling of Kabuki circle most people and small businesses seem to be a rather miserable.

After we were done with shopping, we used the highway to drive to the trash peaks. During the drive Marie noticed a car sneaking up to us. I look over to my side and I see a luxurious car "Marie, slow down our car before *Bang* *Bang*" It was too late and the gang members started shooting at the other car while using our van as cover. We immediately leaned our seats back and Marie stomped on the brakes. When the cars passed us we leaned our seats upright and drove to the side of the highway. The damage done to our car was bad but not to the point where we couldn't drive it anymore. I was disappointed, but Marie wasn't. She was absolutely livid and coldly asked "Tell me Jack, which gang was that?" I thought about how muscular the gang members were and concluded "I think they are members of the animals gang from Pacifica, since they looked really jacked." I don't know why but she started to smile and it scared "Once we're strong enough let's make them pay." I just nodded with confusion and we then continued to drive to the red peaks.
