After we were done dumpsterdiving, we drove with our damaged van back home. During the drive Marie asked me "Hey Jack what should we make for the small celebration? Personally I would like to try some pizza. What do you want?" I hummed while thinking about it and decided "Pizza sounds good. Let's make three large pizzas with different toppings. Which Toppings should we put on the pizzas? For one there should be seafood with eggs, but I don't know a out the rest. Maybe we could put mushrooms on one pizza?" Marie disagreed "No, I don't feel like eating mushrooms sincethey look weird, but I once heard from my old pizza tuna with onions is good. As for the last pizza I don't know. We could make some pizza salami maybe?" "Na, I don't feel like it."

We continued bouncing ideas at each other all the way to home and when we were there "You know what, how about we make some broccoli pizza with eggs and extra cheese." Marie looked at me with a stoic face "It may not go against what I want to eat but it shouldn't mean it's good Jack." I just looked back at her "Says the one who wanted to try Hawaiian pizza. You should know that it's heresy of the highest degree, but I will maybe forgive you for that, because you are still new to the whole food thing." "You know what, have it your way. I need to shower and relax after what happened today with those animal duchebags." She went to the shower, I decided to to go to the second bedroom and turn it into a little lab. After I was done with my lab I saw Marie sitting on the couche and relaxing. I decided to begin making the dough for the pizzas.

After I was done with the dough I let it rest and went to the couch to sit next to Marie. When I did that Marie came closer, leaned her head against my shoulder and held my hand. She began talking "You know why I got so angry when those assholes trashed our car?" I replied "No, I don't." "I was angry because it was something that you and I obtained together. It was a reminder of the day someone wanted and needed me, after my lowest point in life. You managed to show me a whole new world of emotions and experiences that I would have never known on my own. You are the one to change my world of grey concrete, black asphalt and rusted steel into a world full of colors, lights and beauty, even in the darkest of places. You have changed everything for the better in just a couple of days and honestly I don't know how to thank you." She looked sad and I huffed "*huff* If you want to thank me that much then just be your self and discover more of who you are, because with every discovery, every smile and growth you achieve, I feel happy and understand you better as a person." I felt her tightening her grip on my hand and I did the same, but then she said "You should really go shower now. You stink like a hobo." I couldn't help but laugh "Hahaha! Alright, alright. I'll go take a shower then." She smiled at me and went to the bathroom.

pov Marie

After Jack went to the bathroom, I looked at my hand he held. My vision got blurry and my hand felt drops of water. 'Why am I crying, when I'm so happy. Dammit, you lovable idiot. What have you done to me? Why did I say all this? Why did his words make me so happy? Why, why, why? Just why do I feel so alive? I should really stop crying, but not now.' After a few minutes I stopped crying, slowly wiped away my tears and started with making pizza. 'He really has changed me hasn't he. I wonder if my sister is still gonna recognize me, if I see her again.'

After some time both me and Jack were done with our things and we heard the door ring. 'It must be Gloria and David.' I opened the door and welcomed them in "It's so nice to see you Gloria and David. I'm glad you accepted our invitation. Come in and don't worry about your shoes. They can stay on." Gloria smiled tierdly. David had some injuries and seemed to be in a bad mood. Gloria then explained after seeing me look at David "Sorry. David got into a fight today and was injured." "Don't worry I don't mind. Hey David, if you want I could teach you how to fight in cqc." He looked at me with awe in his eyes and was about to say yes, but his mother interrupted "I'd rather not have David fight. So no." I looked back at Gloria and smiled "Don't worry most of it would be how to disengage from a fight and honestly I think he should learn at least that much, considering in which city we live in. If you're still against the idea then I have no choice but to listen to you, but he should still exercise to grow strong and handsome." Gloria glared at me a bit "I appreciate your worry, but my decision is final." I wave both my hands "Ok, ok. I understand, but if you ever change you mind then you know who to call. You sit down. I'll go get the food." They sit down at the table in the corner, while I go to the kitchen corner. I see Jack carrying two pizzas and smile at me. I smile back and follow him to the table with a pizza in my hand.

"Really! You plan on building a power armor! That's so nova man. Can I help?" David was awed by Jack's plan. I giggled, while Gloria just sighed. "Come on, Gloria. Don't be a spoilsport. Let him have some fun and friends his age." Jack laughed and it only made her sigh even deeper, but she agreed "Fine, but don't influence him in any bad way and Marie, as the only sane person between the two of you, please make sure my son stays sane." Jack said "Hey! I am sane. I just got more ambition and smarts then most." I could only laugh hard and when I was barely able to speak again "Haha Su hahahaaa sure. I'll keep that pff. idiot from doing that. Hahaha." Gloria had a satisfied look to her "Thank you. I guess It's time to go. Come David let's go back home now. Thank you for the food. It was delicious." David smiled and said "Yeah, the food was really good. See you tomorrow, chooms." I said "Goodbye both of you." Jack smiled "See ya tomorrow Dav and thanks for letting him join my project, Gloria."

After they went back home, we went to our bed. This time Jack hugged me in bed and it was for some reason pure bliss for me to be in his embrace. Before I could even think about why, I fell asleep.
