I Don't Know

After hearing Minori asking if she could help, a strange feeling swept over me. To be honest, I never really considered getting anybody to help Nathan and I change the future of this game. At least, not anyone directly involved.

It was the kind of thing that hadn't even crossed my mind. I assumed it would've just been us two just like how I assume gravity will exist. Realistically speaking, it was an offer that I might as well have taken. She was unlikely to betray us given how attached she was to Nathan, and that her character wasn't all that bad.

Chances are, she would pick self-preservation over us, but that's also what most people would do anyway.

But...

"No, you can't."

Minori looked rather surprised at my response, as she should be.

"But why?"

I let out a soft sigh as a bitter smile spread out on my face.

"At the end of the day, you're too weak."

Minori looked aghast. Part of her seemed to want to deny it, but she couldn't say it in the end.
