I couldn't help but feel a little unsettled by the mana that was forcibly ejected from my body. Without delay, I began grabbing at the mana that attempted to disperse and forcefully put it back in my body.
It ended up working surprisingly well. Unfortunately, the sudden influx of mana had a further dizzying effect as though I had overdosed on painkillers or something.
Thankfully, it was nothing too serious. I was able to recover from it in just a few seconds. As it would turn out, Cedric's newfound power was far weaker than it was within the game. While it should've drained half of my mana, it instead only took away about a fifth.
It was true the amount of mana I had in my own body didn't matter too much since I was still able to command mana outside. Paired with the fact that the effect was much weaker than its peak, there wasn't much reason on paper to be afraid. However, when it was paired with certain other effects, it would become a nightmare to deal with.
