Granter Of Wishes

"I…I don't know you," she slowly stated as he could hear her words, despite being a few feet apart, she could only conclude that he has supernatural hearing. After all, he's a vampire.

Just what sort of trouble has she gotten herself into? She had only helped him. And now, a heap of problems lay before her.

"You don't? Should I make you recollect?" Raziel heard him ask.

"I…It's midnight," she slowly stated.

"And I am a woman," she mentioned.

"Wow, I couldn't tell," he sarcastically responded. "I'll think by your peachy breasts and your womanhood that you were a man. Now that you're telling me, hmm."

Raziel rolled her eyes. Was he trying to say she doesn't look like a woman? Ahh, she should have known. He's entertaining himself by teasing her. By the way, what was he even doing here?

"Seems like you're offended," he pointed out.

"That's not an apology," Raziel said.

"Will that make you delighted?" He asked

"If I apologize? Fine I will, but you'll have to unlock your window first. Come on."

Raziel's frown deepened and she cringed her face to show her displeasure.

"I…I don't want your apology. Did you come to my window to bully me?"

"No, I came to watch you sleep."

She was stunned. Was that a joke? Did he come to watch her sleep? She prayed to the seventh heaven that he was joking. Then, his lips curved into a large grin, revealing his white sharp fangs. The place was dark, but she could clearly see his retracted fangs and that made her more conscious of who he was. He was a vampire and the cause of why she couldn't sleep.

"It was a joke, bunny."

Raziel scoffed in response. She pulled her blanket closer till when it covered her neck. Her hands were tightly gripping it as she tried to hide her anxiety and dread. The blanket served its purpose. It covered her shaky legs and kept her from the chilly coldness of the room.

"Aw, don't be scared. I mean no harm truly, she heard him say."

Raziel looked at him as if he had stolen her favorite toy. His golden eyes made her shiver. She has lost her mind. There was the man, a vampire who caused her to have nightmares resulting in sleepless nights outside her window, but she was having a chit-chat with him instead of calling the guards. Just as she debated picking up the emergency phone, and calling the guards, he spoke up.

"Sweet, sweet, Raziel. I never knew you slept this openly. Perhaps you were waiting for me."

"S…shameless!" She scolded.

He let out a loud chuckle that made her jump and her heart almost flew outside the window to his hands. She was frightened by his laugh. Who in her position wouldn't? Having a bloodthirsty creature on her window. The one she was most scared of. The sound tickled her anxiety the more.

"You're the shameless one, sweet," he teased.

"I…I'm not. What a..re you saying?" She asked.

He jutted his chin towards her body, causing her to glance down in search of what he was trying to pinpoint.

"Who did you plan to seduce with that flimsy attire? Perhaps you were waiting for me."

Raziel's eyes widened. She didn't realize that the blanket had fallen off her shoulders to her thighs and the tiny strap of her loose nightgown had drastically slipped on one shoulder. It must have happened when she got frightened by his laugh.

Without looking at him or saying a single word, she rapidly held the strap and fixed her nightgown. She bent down a little and pulled the blanket back to her shoulders.

"You should leave," she advised.

He smiled. "Is that what you wish for?"

She quickly nodded her head and stared at him with the hope that he was going to leave now.

"Too bad, I'm not a granter of wishes and I'm not a fairy who grants wishes."

Raziel clenched her fist. She has never met a more shameless man or king, whatever. Since he was refusing to leave, she was going to press the button. She sneakily stretched her hand and got hold of the emergency phone. Pressing the button it is.

"I'm going to kill them."

Raziel's felt shivers on her back as he said that sentence.

"W…what?"

"The emergency phone on your hands, I'll kill them if they make an appearance," he declared, his smile unwavering.

She wondered how he knew she was holding an emergency phone and she quickly returned it to avoid what he just threatened.

"I..If you think this is how to talk to a woman, or you think this behavior of yours will woo a woman, then you're completely mistaken. Coming to a woman's window at night is immoral."

Seeing as her mood changed and she was starting to get upset, he decided to go back to teasing. Previously, she was just irritated but now, seeing as her eyes lowered, she was visibly upset.

"Woo? That word sounds so foreign. If you want I can woo you properly," he said

"Just go…please. Leave my window. I don't want an offensive stranger outside my bedroom window."

He smirked. At least she had the decency to be aware of her situation. She sounded more courageous and provoked than before. He would have appreciated it if she was just courageous and not provoked.

"I'm hurt," he drawled.

She gazed at him through her long lashes as she furrowed her brows. He stifled a chuckle. She was trying her best to stay stern and provoked. Such an adorable little fawn.

"I wanted to give you something you dropped just now, but since you're kicking me out like this, I'll leave," he said, trying to sound miserable.

She watched him with apprehension as she wondered what he was saying she dropped just now.

"Look," he revealed his hand.

A book dangled in his thumb and forefinger. Her eyes widened as she looked at the book with concentration. This…this was the romance book she was reading, how did it get to his hands?
