I pull my hands through Matty's hair as he's dancing with me. I'm facing him and he's holding my hips.
"You are very good at that" he says slowly watching me.
"Like you are at most things" he whispers to me. Kissing my ear briefly. I smile innocently.
"Please can I take you home with me yet?" He pleads with me, pulling my hips into him.
I have him where I wanted him all along.
"Right now? Are you gonna be able to drive Matthew?" I ask him.
"Of course I am, I've only smoked a little and I had one drink about 2 and a half hours ago" he tells me.
"Unless you want to stay here. With like everyone watching us, I mean you. Because you are so gorgeous and good at dancing that the guys want to hit on you and the girls want you to stop existing" he says to me.
I turn around to see Jen glaring at me. So she is still here. I look back towards Matty, my Matty.
I decide to give her something to watch.
I turn around slightly so he is embracing my body from behind.
"Fuck" he whispers in my ear.
"What are you doing to me babe"
"You keep moving like that and we are not going to make it home" he chuckles lightly tracing a line down my cheek with his finger, and then down my neck to my chest.
The problem is I am now facing Ross. A shirtless Ross who is very much now looking at me. Having grown bored of Rach and her interesting dance moves. I smile at him, I indicate for him to get Rachel's attention. He whispers in her ear and she smiles, she's well oiled and in a good mood.
"I like your top" I tell her and mean it. I don't really want to become her enemy.
"Thanks earlier for saying I looked nice, it made me feel confident" I ramble on.
She smiles at me.
"No probs I do like that dress though. You pull it off well." She comments.
"That green colour looks great on you, I couldn't pull it off" I laugh.
She genuinely laughs back, "I like a bit of colour me! Anything a bit different".
"It suits you" I smile
See not so bad, we can definitely get on if we both try hard enough.
"Want another drink?" she smiles at me.
"Go on then, what shall we have?" I laugh.
"Ohh we should make a cocktail" I suggest
She looks excited, "let's make something"
Overhearing our conversation Matty says in my ear "I'm going to get you one more drink, baby"
"And then I am going to take you home". My tummy flips I'm suddenly nervous. I wanted him to take me home all night and now that's happening I can't help but feel nervous.
Rach smiles at us both. That's growth I'm very pleased with him for trying to bridge a friendship with her.
"Let's make some cocktails" he says
"That earns you brownie points" I whisper to him
"I'm counting on it" he laughs.
He leaves to get me that drink. I carry on dancing on my own I'm far too inebriated to care at this stage.
Rhea is all over Malachi, they are in their own world like myself and Matty were before.
Brad, Ross and me are left dancing.
"You really are something else" Ross says to me, smiling. Eyes following my hips, pulling his hand through his hair.
"Why?" I lean into him, hand on his shoulder. I remember he has no shirt on and decide to take my hands off of him.
"Are you kidding?" He laughs.
"You've totally got me here at your beck and call. I told you before what might happen if you dance like that around me" he laughs, teasingly.
"You didn't actually tell me so I don't consider myself warned" I retaliate.
"Would you like me to show you?" He smirks.
He's taken a step closer, playfully teasing me.
He places one hand on my waist, as if testing whether I'm going to push him off.
"It's okay right? You're not like married yet are you" he chuckles.
I didn't realise before that Ross has really good natural rhythm and great hips. I was so captivated by Matty I didn't actually watch Ross dance.
"Have you danced before" I ask him
"Don't laugh okay?" He replies "I've done a bit, but I don't tell any of the guys" he says "i don't do classes or anything I just can move" he laughs.
"Not like anything you can do like ballet. Just modern stuff" he says.
"Nice why would I laugh ? That's great" I tell him.
"Here pass me your hands" he asks.
I do. I know what he's going to do with me. I let him lead.
He's dancing basic salsa without really knowing. I follow him. He's really good. I forget that he is completely shirtless and now holding me. Dancing with him feels relaxed I just follow his lead and I don't have to make any of the decisions.
"how am I doing?" he laughs
"Great. you have great hip movement"
"Why thank-you" he laughs winking at me.
"You're dancing is very nice, you're clearly better than me at it" he says after we stop. He lets me go.
"It's nice to know someone that can dance like that" I say smiling at him
"What can I say, I'm not the best but I know a little" he smirks
"My mum has always loved dance" he says
"I grew up watching it, I always found I could copy some of it too" he laughs.
Matty places his hand on my back, I know it's him straight away.
"Here's that drink" he says embracing me.
Rach is following behind holding her cocktail.
"Ohh what is it" I turn to face him.
Rachel laughs "have a taste and guess"
"Ohh okay I bet it's got coke in it" I laugh, taking a sip.
"Oh easy rum, coke and ugh" I say
"Here Ross help a girl out" I say making him have a sip.
"Tequila" he laughs after drinking some.
Rach claps her hands together.
"Next time we need to get more stuff to experiment with" she says
I agree with her and we plan to make strawberry daiquiris next time. I'm happy we managed to get to a good place rather than avoiding or disliking each other.
