Storm has always been in love with Makai, so he's happy when they turn out to be mates, only to be devastated when Makai fights the bond.

Makai never imagined that the ray of sunshine that was Storm could ever be his, and now his biggest fear is that he might lose control of the wild beast lurking within him and hurt Storm.

When they find out they're a part of an elite group called the Protectors of the Moon, they have to navigate their new relationship while fighting for the greater good, and Makai realizes he might lose the best thing in his life if he doesn't learn to swallow his fears and trust his wild wolf.

I flip the pages, we find new lists with another handwriting adding additional items below Arthur's list. 


"This is where Asher Nahash started adding the magic element," I realize. 


There are potion ingredients, and as I flip the pages, written spells at the bottom of the ingredient lists. 


"It's just as we suspected; the transformation formula includes dark magic spells that merge all the ingredients to transform the features of the wolves." 


I feel sick as more pages reveal short notes on forced test subjects for the formula. There are notes with figures and time stamps. The first note is "Test Subjects 1-10: changes only partial. Must increase changing spell. Test subjects terminated. 


Then, "Test Subjects 11-20, full change effective, but strength too low. Must increase steroids. Test subjects terminated."
