Mr Walsh left the conference room with Mr White. Mr Helgar was awaiting them out side.
The rest of the meeting went smoothly and Mr Walsh even gave Mr Born an extra day to inform his staff of the new change. To avoid any confusion of course.
"Have you given the young master his new phone?"
Mr Walsh looked at Lee. He couldn't wait to speak with Owen again after so many years.
"Yes sir. It even has your contact on it already"
Lee didn't like Owen because, in his opinion, he was just a child and nothing more. He didn't understand why Mr Walsh was acting like this for a mere child. It annoyed him.
"Marvellous."
_____
Robert sat quietly in the meeting room after Adam signed the paper work. The tension in the room could be felt by everyone.
"Uncle why didn't you fight for Robert? He's great at what he does even you said so your self!"
Jimmy looked at his uncle with confusion and anger.
"Don't give me that look. I put the offer on the table and he didn't like it. I don't know what's going through that man's mind! We should be glad with what we got!"
Jimmy sat quite. He couldn't say anything about taking seventy five thousand because he had stated that they should have gotten more. He looked at Robert helplessly.
"Back to work you two I need to speak with Mr Jacob in private"
Robert and Jimmy left the room, finally escaping the awkwardness.
"Im sorry Robert. I really thought you would have gotten that promotion. You deserve it. Uncle had no right to do that. "
"It's alright Jimmy. It couldn't be helped."
Robert hated the born family now. Just speaking to Jimmy made his insides twist.
'You should be more worried about your self. You only got into this company because your uncle owned it. What do you thinks going to happen when the old man finds out you can barely use the printer.'
The two left each other to go back to their offices.
Robert was not in the mood to deal with Owen so he thought of just sending him home but when he opened the door Owen was cleaning the office.
Owen stopped in his tracks as soon as he saw the door open.
"Oh. Uh I hope you don't mind but I got bored and cleaned up- "
Robert looked around and it was so much brighter. Even the door was amazingly well cleaned.
"Some one also brought in some paperwork and mail. Its on your desk I put the mail in order of new to oldest. "
"Well done. It looks like bringing you along wasn't a bad idea after all"
Robert sat down and sighed looking at the paperwork.
"How was the meeting?"
Owen seemed truly interested.
"It's confidential."
Robert's face twisted in anger. Just remembering it brought sour thoughts to his mind.
"Was it bad?"
Robert grumbled.
"Why don't you go and get some lunch there's a cafe just a few blocks down the street. I'm sure you can handle it. "
Robert desperately wanted to get rid of Owen so he gave him 50 dollars for him to go and get some lunch.
Owen took the 50 dollars and left to go to the café. He took this chance to call his newly found Uncle.
He walked into the café and immediately the sweet sent of freshly baked goods filled his senses. He could just taste the edges of all the flavours, Vanilla, cherry, banana, a hint of saltiness here and there, cinnamon and lemon.
He bought a few snacks and a sandwich then sat down in the corner of the café to eat. He scarfed down the food and awaited Mr Walsh's arrival.
Just as Owen was eating his sandwich a young man walked up to him and snatched it.
" looks like you bought me a snack. I'll gladly enjoy it"
" who are you?"
Owen stood up and glared the young man, trying to keep his composure.
"How dare you take away my food!"
"So now you're going to pretend not to know who I am? I warned you once! But now"
The young adult grabbed Owen by his shirt and dragged him across the table.
