What happens when a young orphaned boy gets a new foster family and finds out the truth about who he is.

' "I don't know, it was just a gut feeling, sir"

"My boy, please, call me uncle again. It would do me the greatest honour since serving under your father" 

Mr Paul Walsh, grandfather to all the underworld, held a lowly orphan boy's hand.

Owen thought for a moment "of course uncle"

"Now. If you will take a look at this paperwork then you will find that with your current situation this is the best offer on and off the market. In fact Mr Walsh is being very generous and upping the original worth tenfold." 


As Adam looked over the paperwork with Ethan while the room sat in silence. 


'Whats wrong with our current situation? Is it so bad that Uncle has to sell the business? Now I'm never going to get my promotion!' 


He had no idea what was going on. He went into the meeting expecting to get promoted but now he had no idea what he was doing there. 


"Of course this is a very generous offer Mr Walsh but I have one request to ask of you. This here is Mr Howel, one of our longest and most hardworking employee, I would gladly exept your deal if in return you make him a manager of sorts. His skill is very good, you will be very pleased. " 


Mr Walsh looked at Robert who was almost completely sweating. 


'This man is a professional? He looks like a pig trying to get in any high social class just to build his reputation without doing anything. Perhaps this is the man my dear boy, Owen was telling me about' 


"Tell me Mr Howel, what makes you think that you are deserving of such a promotion? " 


"Well sir, I have been working here for fithteen years. I know the ins and outs of every major issue the company has or may have to deal with and-" 


"Tell me Mr Howel. Are you a family man?" 


"Yes. I see the company as my family. It's the only way I believe that it will thrive and beat out the other competition." 


"No. I mean are you a family man? Do you have a family of your own?" 


"Ah. Yes in fact I take care of problematic children. I foster them and straighten them out so that they may find a family of their own. Just a while ago we had a new arrival, quite a trouble maker I must admit." 


"So you are not in either of these things for the money then? The promotion and fostering I mean. " 


Robert sat quietly for a moment. Who does this old man think he is? Asking all of these questions. Was he being targeted? 


Robert forced a smile even though this old man was annoying him. 


Mr Walsh looked at Robert with an inconvenience look. He was convinced that Owen was telling the truth about him and that he was a power grabbing pig. But by the looks of it he didn't even know the first layer of power in their country. It seemed as though Robert believed he was the one on top. When in fact he wasn't. 


The price went down and that shocked Adam to his very core. Did he not agree with his proposal? 


"Seventy five? Why did the price go down?" Adam said in a panic. 


"If you want to promote one of your employees when you are no longer in ownership of the company then I have no choice but to charge you for it." 


All Adam saw was his money being taken away and he quickly paniced. With out consoling Robert or Ethan he grabbed a pen. 


"Forget it! It never happened! One hundred thousand like we agreed on?" 


Robert was shocked and angered but he could not say anything. 


Mr Walsh let out a small smirk and nodded. 


"Of course. Sign now and then we can all go home, you one hundred thousand dollars richer. "
