Sky's territory

"I will throw you off the van," Jackson threatened

"Oh you can try kid." Sky tested.

"Oh , don't you dare test me." Jackson gave a sarcastic smile to Sky.

"I really do suggest you to listen to him," l advised.

Sky looked at me , clearly offended. He rolled his eyes and drew a knife out of his puny fingers causing three other werewolves to draw out our out personal knives of our fingers. Three versus one, not bad. Sky turned to look at Chester. Chester however, pulled out his gun and waved it at Sky's face. Well, four verses one . Even better.

" Well now, this is just unfair. " Sky complained.

He really acted like a kid.

"Well, considering you were the one who brought us here, causing us to run from a Skinwalker, personally l think that it's fair." Luna justified.

"In my defence, l way just trying to help." Sky argued

Truly, what was in this man's head? Well, a good guess there have now is that he was mentally unstable.

"How do we trust you?" Edward peeked at the rear mirror , hoping to catch Sky's reaction.

Sky stayed silent. Finally, peace. The air smelled fresher. The Skinwalker was gone! I doubted that it would just give up on it's hunt or us.

"Are we safe?" Sky asked, subtly sniffing the air.

"Well, I guess so? If that's what your senses say," Chester shrugged his shoulders while tilting his head.

"I doubt so," both mine and Edward's voice were in sync, "It wouldn't just give up on is hunt. There must be."

"God why do you two make everything complicated." Sky complained.

We stared at him in awe. Were we supposed to answer him? How exactly do we answer him? Was he really that stupid? I was questioning my decision of allowing him on the van. Confused, he looked back at us as if he had completely no idea why he was being watched by fur annoyed expressions. I shook my head in absolute disappointment and looked away.

"Why don't we turn back?" Sky requested.

I sighed. God I should really throw him off the van. He was the perfect example of a burden.

"Is there a way to get to your island?" I asked Edward.

He nodded as a response, "there is just one problem."

"What's that?" Jackson asked.

I noticed Luna rubbing her eyes and knew what Edward was about to say.

"I don't think its safe." I answered as if reading his mind.

The rest stared in confusion. Well, I suppose I could not blame them.

"Look, we need a break. I suggest we find a spot where we can rest and then have night shifts." Edward sighed, anticipating objection.

It was not that I disagreed with him. It was that I had no choice, it was not safe. We are weakest when sleeping. Why would we let ourselves be vulnerable in a place of uncertainty? However he was right. We needed rest, we could not survive without it. We would only make ourselves more vulnerable.

I sighed and sat down.

"Fine, at least find a good place to pull over so that either one of us can take the wheel,"

Edward quickly pulled over and gave the wheel to Jackson. Sitting down, Edward's bones cracked with relief of the exhaustion. Diving may seem easy but for long distances? Not so. As he laid down on the bed, Luna covered him with a blanket and whispered to him a thank you.

I too laid right next to him with exhaustion. I could not stop thinking about m parents. Maybe I knew why I was not so mad at Sky. Maybe it was because I knew that deep down that if had tried to save my parents, I would not have any other family to go to. Gory thoughts on the day my parents died with a pool of blood surrounding them, their hands still holding. The blood I stained on myself while trying to get their rings and necklaces was still in my head, so was the scent.

Fresh blood always smelled good to me, it meant fresh kill. However, that smell was not as pleasant. It smelled bitter, disgusting. I hated it. Maybe it was because the smell of blood was from my own kind but it did not smell like Sky when he slit his hands. It smelled nothing like so.

"Keep driving straight. You should reach my place soon." I heard Sky's voice slowly fade.

I seemed to have drifted off to sleep. Entrusting my friends to help protect if Sky was not here for a good purpose. They would not break a blood contract right? Well I certainly hoped so.

We took shifts. Jackson drove, I drove, Luna drove, Edward drove and the cycle repeats. Sky however, was only allowed to give directions. We drove past the beautiful scenery.

"We would reach the place soon?" Luna complained, "It has been bloody three hours!"

"I'm sorry, I usually run home not take a slow ass caravan." He rolled his eyes upon receiving a complaint.

"Well, this slow ass caravan could save you from any bullets of such." Chester flashed a nice silver bullet with 'SH' written on it.

"SH?" Jackson read aloud, "Silver hunters?"

Chester nodded. Clarifying it.

"Here we are," Sky signalled for a quick turn into his driveway.

His house seemed more like a cave than a house. And the driveway was inside of the same cave he called home. Regardless, we were homeless. We would just accept anything at this point.

"A cave, interesting." I mocked.

"It is not a cave. It is my home." Sky proudly announced.

"A hideout would be a better name." Jackson laughed.

We silently chuckled to ourselves. Sky opened a rusty metal door with a key to what seemed like an elevator. We descended down only to see rocks from the cave. It took about 5 minutes for us to see a light emitting from the bottom.

"Welcome," Sky flung his hands wide open.

We stared in awe. It was not a cave, it was a bunker. Modern labs, beautiful white walls, a nice cool air blew at our faces, electricity generator , water filters, atmospheric water generators, vegetable farm with edible fishes inside and more. It was too much for us to comprehend.

"Look, I may be that idiotic dude, however I still care. This was given to me by your parents, they told me to give it to you." He passed me a box with the extra copy of the key he had.

"This place was theirs?" I asked holding back tears.

I miss mom. I miss dad.

"Yes, they wanted to hide here but it was still under construction." Sky explained.

I stared in shock, my heart dropped

"The car." I changed the topic, "they can recognise it." I panicked.

I cannot let my parents efforts go to waste.

"It is here." Sky took a controller and a door slid up.

I saw my van just sitting nicely at the garage.

Well one less of a worry I suppose.
