Truth

"I cannot keep this forever so, here you go." Sky handed me a stack of papers.

I gently flipped through the papers, still cautious of him. How could I trust him really? After what he did? I flipped through it's gentle, fragile pages. Reading every word of every page. A small letter stood out and I decided that maybe reading it aloud would be a good choice so that I could fulfil not only my curiosity but also my group.

"My sweet daughter, I have known about the hunters plan on our assassination for quite sometime now. If you're reading this, I suppose I may have left the living world by now. Sweetheart you must know that Mom and Dad loves you but we chose this fate. We were acting when we called for Sky. Sometimes a sacrifice must be made for us to reach further heights. Mom and Dad will love you forever till the end of time." I read aloud, my voice quivering.

"Well, judging from this situation, I suppose I can also tell you about something you must know." Sky walked over to the fridge.

"I'm not that stupid little idiot that can't drive or can't shut up." Sky explained.

"It was an act." Edward sighed, " well, explains why I actually thought you hit your head or something."

"Shut up." Sky taunted.

I could not even be bothered with their misfits. I was too hung up on the fact that my own parents, my birth parents, decided that leaving their daughter, their birth daughter, in this stupid, annoying, living world.

"This hideout will be yours and this hideout is not the only one." Luna read aloud and gave me a small torn map.

I took the small torn map that seemed really fragile. The amount of crosses really said a lot. I came from a very wealthy family who has only fallen once. All heirs from my family were all self driven. We were never one who would take credit that is not ours. We were all hardworking. Well, most of us shows that. Sky was rather a manipulator, or so I just learnt.

"So, they sacrificed themselves for?' I asked.

My voice was surprisingly not cracking. It was a rather annoyed voice. I was still upset about my parents stupid, naive decisions.

"To protect you." Sky rolled his eyes, "clearly. What do you think."

"And you manipulative bitch better be aware of your words." Edward threatened.

"I don't manipulate for fun you know?" Sky jumped in to defend himself.

"Oh really? You don't?" Jackson scoffed.

Sky sighed after hearing them fight back at him.

"Your parents loved you very much. They had to die to give you time to escape that day. They told me to give this to you. They mentioned about your love for jewellery." Sky handed me a box.

I gently opened it revealing a pile of rings. They were gorgeous. I recognised all of them. The emerald one was from Father's promposal, the blue sapphire was from Father's confession, the small gorgeous diamond was their engagement rings.

Father loved mom, clearly. It was no doubt that Father has been head over heals for mom even when held at gun point, all Father wanted was to stay by Mother's side. Even before taking his last breath, he made sure to hold Mother's hand tight.

I admired the rings before pacing it back down very gently. It was all I had them.

"I can keep this, yes?" I asked with a stained voice, holding back tears.

"Never cry, you must not cry. You must stay strong." Mother once told me.

"Only cry with the person who loves you most. Only them, regardless gender. You must make sure you can trust them." Father added.

They always believed crying was a sign of vulnerability. Showing your vulnerability was like bleeding in a pool filled with sharks. It was like a suicide attempt.

"Yes. Keep it. I can't keep holding onto it. I'm not their beloved daughter, am I now?" Sky sighed before taking a sit on a white metal chair, "they loved you a lot."

I nodded. I knew that. I felt a had gently rest on my back. Edward's hand. I felt comfort flow through my veins.

Edward. Edward's parents. I suddenly remembered. Did they have a part to play in this chaos? This stupid wild dumb hunt between humans and werewolves.

"Did you know Edward's parents?" I questioned.

"Yes, Both of your parents were actually best of friends." Sky answered with a little hesitation.

"So they were killed because they were best friends or what?" Edward asked.

"No. It was because they were part of this plan."Sky explained, "they joined packs."

At that moment, I stared at Edward. It only meant one thing. We were a pack. I was never a lone wolf. I only thought so. Well, we thought so. Edward looked at me in awe.

"Fuck the blood contract?" Jackson added.

"Shut up." Edward and I scolded Jackson spontaneously.

Jackson raided both hands up, admitting defeat however a smirk still lingered on his face

"Well the parents really made a good choice. They are a good team..." Jackson complained before settling down.

"So we are staying here?" Luna asked the most valid question.

"Yes. Remember this is location 9. There are 20 locations. They are in random spots." Sky reminded before walking off, "bedtime at 9 kids!"

"Did he just mocked us?" Jackson asked in disbelief.

"Dick." Edward walked towards the van to take some clothes.

"Sleep in pairs too!" We heard Sky's voice from the other room.

Luckily this bunker was soundproof or we would be dead by now. Jackson smiled quietly and snatched Luna's arm away.

"The pack has to sleep together." Jackson announced before closing the room door with Luna.

I cautiously opened the room next to Jackson's.

"I don't trust this place..." I whispered.

Edward held onto my shoulder in fear as well. It was only normal that trust was hard to come but in our situation, it was about life and death. One wrong move and our lives will be put at stake. I could not trust my family, my own pack. I laid on the small sized bed. I could not sleep.

"Can't sleep?" Edward asked turning to look at me.

He slept on the bed next to mine which was separated by a bedside table.

"The wall is pretty interesting today." I replied.

"We have to trust him, don't we?" Edward read my mind again.

"I have to stop hanging out with you, you know me too well," I whined.

We stared at the ceiling once again, the silence was not as peaceful anymore. All we felt was fear, the smell of fear was strong.

"Doesn't seem like there is any other choice, is there?" I sighed, before placing both hands behind my head to relax myself despite the tight atmosphere.
