They dared to come out after about fifteen minutes had passed.

"Now," Kortock whispered to Ian. "I will tell you the objective. We will get the attention of the security in order for them to put us into the room where the key to the krobinnuti dimension is. We need a key for the portal. But we can't be violent or else the security guys will not put us in the interrogation room. We need to be civil. We need to cheat in a game so that they will notice us and start to wonder how we even know how to cheat here."

"And you suppose I am able to do that?" Ian asked, his voice all hushed because he was still very much afraid. "Do you think so highly of your own system that even its subsystem will -"

"Shut up. You can do it." The mentor glared at him. "You are the brightest, sharpest young man I have met in my entire life, and I will not have you think that somehow, burning a house down makes you incompetent."
