Nova Wave Book 1 Red Dawn

Carson cleared his throat, looking at Felix expectantly. They had just finished eating, and Carson was curious why the guard captain joined them for dinner when the guy had never joined them before. 


He would have asked before, but Sarah was looking like she was about to drool if they hadn't eaten soon. 


Felix turned his gaze away from Sarah and Adam, who played a weird game of tag that consisted of slapping the other before they could. Sarah laughed as Adam rechallenged her for the fourth time for another round after losing all four matches. 


"Right, I guess I should get down to business, " Felix said gruffly. 


Elena, who was watching the kids fondly, turned her attention towards Felix, curious why the guard captain had shown up as well. 


"Well, there are two reasons I have come today, " Felix said, gesturing towards Sarah. 


"I have already verified that this young lady is, in fact, not a Wild One. Felix sighed heavily.
