Chapter Thirty-Nine

The houses they strolled by seemed to get taller and much cleaner than the rest of the city as they headed towards Grampa Frank's home. It must have been the wealthier district of the outer city where the more important people lived like the healers.

They approached a house that stood out from the other homes. It was all white with a purple half-moon above the door, and none of the other houses seemed to shine like this one.

"What's with the purple Moon?" Sarah asked, pointing at the object above the door.

"It's the symbol of the Healers Guild, " Peter said offhandedly before the old man could reply. Frank shot him a nasty glare before hurumphing.

"Oh, don't give me that look, old man, if you were to go on a lecture about how the symbol of the Healers Guild came about, we would be here all night, and I'm sure Sarah is exhausted from her long night."
