The transport pod carried the two of them across New York City at a fast pace. Traveling over the city, they could see thousands of people walking the street corners and cars driving throughout the streets, already backing up with traffic.
It was definitely a change of scenery here from the Outer City. In the outskirts, there were no vehicles or transport pods, and there were no tall buildings either. Everyone there walked or rode a bike everywhere they went but here in the major part of the city it looked like the Nova Wave never really happened. The people still crowded the street corners, and the traffic was still so toxic most locals wouldn't even buy a car.
