Aella was in the barn swooping the hay with the rake. She has been here since morning and her back ached. This is what came with being the black sheep of the family, she was like a servant just like the rest of the servants in the house.

Secondly why she was doing this was because she was....

"Aella " the annoying voice of her step sister called. " I want you to clean my room by this evening, we are leaving till tomorrow"

She was the step-daughter of this witch family.

Aella wanted to talk back at her but she didn't since it would lead to more dispute with her step mother or in short step -family and since they were leaving and she would be all alone in the house and it would be her pleasure to be alone.

"Ok" her sister, Shira , frowned.

"That's new, you always argue every time I say anything to you"

"I'm just not in the mood for it" she replied.

"..."

Shira wasn't rude ,she was the nice sister compared to the other, she was beautiful, clean and most definitely smart that why her mother always gave her permission to go to town any time she pleased since she was careful. She would come home the next day in good state but her sister, Sharma was just the devil in disguise. Aella was like Cinderella, mean sister and mother but in this story she had a father. The worst father you can ever ask for.

Shira ran off ,she couldn't miss the carriage, they were going to the palace.

"You make a pretty good farmer by the way" Aella turned but obviously he wasn't down but up always up.

" May I help you?" she was irritated by him to have startled her after her thirty minutes of silence.

"No , I just came to visit you"

"Am not sick I don't need visitors "

"Someone is in a bad mood today, " he grinned " Why so?" She kept quiet.

"You wont talk to me now , fair enough, once done with your silent treatment find me in the house and I need tea" in seconds he was out of her sight. She harrumphed in anger , why in the first place did he come.

To bother her to say the least.

She obviously didn't want him in the house so she left the barn and ran to the house. She entered with light footsteps and tiptoed to the sitting area but he wasn't there ,neither in the kitchen so the last place he could be was in one of the rooms.

She checked all them and locked immediately after and lastly her small , too small, room.

He was Infront of her dresser holding her comb.

"What are you doing in here?" how did he even figure out that that was her room.

"Nothing actually, is this the servants room ,it's quite interesting if you ask me" a small arrow of pain had been pointed directly at her heart.

Did she look like a servant that much. She bit her lips to avoid tears from coming out.

"Get out of there" she pushed him out with all of her might.

She turned around and hid her face as she gathered herself up to find the courage to start talking with him again.

When she turned around he was nowhere to be seen, again.

"This idiot" she muttered under her breath. He was now in the garden plucking out flowers and pulling out the petals. He was giving her more work to do yet she wanted to rest. And she would be scolded for the flowers too.

"Just go away Mister Laviscount" her one hand was on her waist and the other ,her forefinger pointed to the gate.

"Ok , but you still owe me the cup of tea" he picked another flower and in a minute he disappeared from her sight.

She sighed in little happiness as she entered the house and started to clean. From all the rooms to floor and then the dishes.

As she picked the petals she she got cut by one of the thorns. She stared at the bruise now on her finger. Her back was sore and her feet ached a little plus the little blisters on her palms accelerated her urge to cry.

Her thoughts moved back to when ,that idiot called her room a servants room. It wasn't supposed to affect her so much but it did.

Tears brimmed her eyes and she let them fall. She slumped on the ground as more tears fell from her eyes.

Was she born to be a servant to her own family? She was already eighteen, just what more did she need to do to receive her powers or abilities?

Being a witch sucked and she hated it with every ounce of her breath. It's just better to be a normal human and live a normal life.

Aella was so engrossed in her state of misery that she didn't see the pair of feet that were approaching her.
