"God this is so good" she moaned at the sweetness of the so called chocolate.

"Yeah, don't eat too much I have more in store for you" the ever ignorant Bethany was excited in the streets. It's like this was where she actually belonged.

She looked and actually felt carefree.

"Okay"

"This is ice cream" Bethany presented her with a cone with a white and pink substance on top.

"Just lick, trust me I prefer this to chocolate but it also comes with different flavors and this is Strawberry flavor" Bethany turned and paid the trader carrying her cone too. She had set aside all her worries about Red rules and Red Lake and the wolves hunting her dreams , mother betrayal, she decided to enjoy all this before she went back to the castle.

If ever she ever went back to Cunningham, she would make sure before she left that she knew how to make the ice cream and chocolate.

It was too good and sweet.

"Let me show you the wonders of this beau city"

"Very welcome to be my tour guide" Sarin smiled widely and let herself be guided by Beth.

They spent the rest of the day touring but Bethany had some business to attend to so she left Sarin at book and café shop. Sarin was so engrossed in the current book she was reading, which was a murder mystery, that she didn't notice that Grey standing outside the glass window of the shop.

Watching her like predator watching prey.

"Hello" she looked up and met with an unfamiliar face settling to sit opposite her in the small cubicle. Considering she was new in Dalotopia, she knew nobody so this was new to her. But she argued that a friend would do no harm.

It was a woman, short blonde hair reaching her neck and her eyes were sharper than anything she ever saw and if she said the truth, from her observation, her fingernails almost looked like claws.

Not being rude, she replied "Hi"

"I love that book" she commented with a smile. Her teeth were sharp and pointy and Sarin tried her level best not to gasp. Being this was a magical place, it was no big issue to live and see such people or creatures everyday.

"Me too its very riveting" she offered a polite smile. It was better to be in the creatures good graces because it looked like a calm before storm.

"I agree" she was looking at Sarin's neck and face which made Sarin anxious and self conscious.

They sat there in silence until she decided to break the ice, "May I help you?" her voice was steady firm and sure but inside her head was ringing warning bells.

The question wasn't rude but the creatures look at her darkened a fraction. She smiled revealing her monstrosity of teeth.

"Ah yes, would you care for a walk" no, it wasn't a question or suggestion, it was a literal demand.

"Am waiting for someone so I can-" the glare sent her way made Sarin shut up. While debating on her next lie, her wrist was gripped tightly and she was pulled out of the small cubicle.

As much as Sarin didn't want to create a scene in the peaceful book shop she felt like screaming. She knew some combat skills but now that she was needed to use them, she couldn't. Fear gripped her tight.

She was helpless and Bethany wasn't showing any signs of appearing.

"Let me go or I'll scream" Sarin threatened in a firm voice trying her level best not to be rude.

"You'll just attract more attention to yourself, you're human so you are a meal to most creatures here so scream as you please" her grip tightened bruising her wrist. If it tightened one more time her wrist would surely be broken.

She was so stupid and at some point gullible, she allowed this to happen to herself. She trusted the city and all the blind beauty to manipulate her into thinking she was safe not remembering that this was a lion's den.

"Please where are you taking me?"she pleaded her voice getting smaller.

"Shut up human" it reprimanded while some of its features changed. They took a short way to an alley under a bridge which was empty until it stopped abruptly.

"What are you doing human?" it asked in a strained voice.

"Am not doing anything" now her wrist would be broken. "and let me go please" she winced painfully.

"NO!" it let her go and Sarin ran back only to collide into someone's chest. Thinking it was danger phase two or an accomplice of the creature she fought the arm wrapped around her waist.

"Calm down Sarin" she stilled and looked up.

"Grey?" she turned to make sure she wasn't dreaming, "What are you doing here?"

"You forgot what I told you"

"What?" he pushed her behind him and walked towards the creature.

"Try and remember Sarin now give me a minute" he dissapeared in the alleyway just when Bethany decided to show her face.

"Where is it?" she asked in between pants.

"Down there" Sarin froze for a while, why did she ask for the creature and not her. She was the one in danger not it unless...

"Don't kill it, I need it" she heard Bethany say then Grey was back.

"She was using you" he said adjusting his shirt.

"For what?" she enquired trying her best not gawk at him. She hadn't seen him for a while now and now in this strange and dangerous place he looked rather tempting and alluring.

"As bait to capture that thing" he walked past her and she followed. "You have to be careful around her and this place especially that castle"

This was the second time somebody warned her about some danger in the castle, first Prince Jurrian then him.

"Why the castle?"

He smiled " There's alot you don't know Sarin but first I need you to learn how to protect yourself, that'll be essential if you plan on staying for long"

He led her across the street to a jewellery shop.

"Let me tour you around I know this place better than anyone" she wasn't surprised, being a vampire there was no way he never knew such places. He held her hand but she hissed in pain and stepped back.

"It already hurt you, I should have intervened earlier" he said stopping to to look at the wound.

"What do you mean earlier, were you following us?" he nodded.

"For how long?" he grinned and looked at her eyes through those beautiful long eyelashes.

"Trust me you don't want to know" he bit his hand and blood started flowing making her lose focus on the topic of discussion.

"What are you doing Grey?" his brought his arm close to her mouth but she inched back.

"Take a sip" she frowned.

"I'm not a vampire Grey and there is no way am drinking your blood, that's gross" she looked at the blood with a disgusted frown. Klaus licked the overflowing blood while the bite marks dissapeared plus the blood.

No body around them found what they were doing weird. It was just a casual thing around here.

"Set your girl values aside, it won't heal that fast" he said pointing to her aching wrist "Plus it'll help you alot since you'll be training there your injuries will heal faster"

It was compelling, she agreed with a nod. "Lets go inside I can't spill more blood out here , I'll attract unwanted attention"

"You didn't care a minute ago"

"I care now" the store was beautiful with all sorts of jewellery. From special crystals beautiful necklaces, earings, bangles and anklets.

"Sit there am coming" he ordered.
