The cold presence was still around him. Her scent filled his lungs intoxicating him like it always did.

"What is this?" he asked her/it. Writing's formed on the ground.

*Sorry I didn't tell you, I forgot*

"When did it start?"

*That day you saved me, the outburst time*

"How do you even separate from your body?" he asked somehow confused. His sister and Aunt never did that.

*My body has to be at it's weakest state to do it, like now*

"So you're weak right now, in that carriage?"

*Yes, they made me drink something*

He would figure what that was later.

"How does it feel when you're like that?"

*Not bad, it's like being a ghost*

"Ghosts can be seen but you can't Aella" she was invincible, just her cold aura could be felt.

*I know but I figured out something*

"Which is?"

*I can freeze you or anybody to death Mr Laviscount*he chuckled at her use of terms.

"My body is naturally hot Ms.Cosgrove so you can't"

*Want me to try with you and see if I can* how daring, he thought.

"You'll try it after I retrieve your body"

"Did you recognize them?"

*They said they're friends of the people you killed on my behalf*

The cold breeze snaked around his hand. She was hugging his arm. He smiled.

The sound of carriage wheels could be heard from a distance as it approached.

"Should I kill them too?" he asked teasingly. Last time he killed them, she was angry for bringing trouble to her name but he didn't care about that.

*Do what you want Klaus, but there's some suspicious boy in there*

"Suspicious how?"

*It's like he could see me since he just smiled when I waved at him*

"Maybe he was making an internal joke" he zeroed in on the voices which were more than five plus one silent one.

*He was looking directly at me, don't hurt him before you confirm first*

He sighed and left his position after she let go of him. He stood in front of the carriage and it stood right in front of him.

"Get away from the way!" the coach man shouted at him. He just walked towards the entry of the carriage calmly trying very hard to keep his cool.

The door opened before he could open it himself. A boy, The boy, walked out carrying a small book in his hands. He looked at him and smiled.

"I knew she'd get you" then he looked behind him as if looking at Aella.

"Can you see her?" he asked himself just for confirmation but from the boys features it told it all.

"Of course I can, she's naked"

"What!?" he looked back as if he could see her but he couldn't. He fisted the boys shirt and felt like snapping his neck immediately.

*It's a lie Klaus, he's messing with you* he dropped him after the confirmation.

The boy chuckled then pointed inside the carriage, he looked. All the men were unconscious. Aella's body was untouched, he sighed and climbed in to get it.

*Check my thigh*

He looked immediately and saw slash marks on her right thigh. It had dried blood.

"What happened?" he brought her body out of the carriage after inspecting her carefully.

*One of them cut some vines* before he could ask for more clarification the boy spoke.

"What do I get in return for helping you?"

"What help?"

"I handled them" he pointed to the unconscious idiots in the carriage.

Klaus's features bloomed to that of amusement, "I would have done a better job, believe me boy, what do you really want?"

He hesitated, "I want to be an Imperial House Master but am not allowed to since am too young apparently"

"You 𝑎𝑟𝑒 too young"

*Who are you?"

"Ruel's brother, Cassian" he huffed as if annoyed to be his brother.

"You could be a house master soon but not in the next thirty years" Klaus said hurrying to check on Aella's body. "What they gave her, is it dangerous?" he asked.

Cassian pulled out a small empty vial from his vial and slipped it to Klaus's pocket.

*How can you see me?*

"I have no idea either and it's not dangerous but weakening, just give her water she'll be fine"

*Walk away from the carriage Cassian*

Cassian and Klaus frowned at her words.

"Why?" just then the carriage caught fire. .

"Did you do that?" Cas asked.

*Yeah, they won't burn though it's just a lesson am teaching them*

Klaus grinned proudly, "Let's go, Cassian don't follow"

"Oh" Cassian said sad.

*We'll see you later Cass*

The boy smiled at the new nickname and probably new friends.

"Aella hold my hand" he felt her cold presence around his elbow and shivered a little. When she said could freeze him to death there was a probability that it was maybe true.

He winnowed to the house he brought her after saving her that day. He laid her body on her bed.

"Are you ready to join yourself now?" he asked her beside him still making him feel cold. Writing's were now on the mirror.

*I wanted to test the theory if I could freeze you*

He laughed, "No I don't want to I-"

*Are you scared Klaus?*

"Ok fine do whatever you want Aella"

The bed dipped and finally the blue color from her body subsided. She gave up, he was sure he would have freezed if she tested her theory.

And she would some day.
