Beth's young lips curled into a smile. "When we were younger she was a coward"

Sarin frowned,

"Our father was an abusive father, he always looked for weakness from me and Ava so when he noticed that Ava was the weak one he beat her up, locked her up in the cupboard sometimes he made her eat very hot food so that he could watch her cry but that was after he locked me in the basement and beat up my mother,

"I couldn't help her, the one chance my mother got she ran away from us leaving us with our cruel 𝑐𝑟𝑢𝑒𝑙 father, he tortured us for years

"When we tried to run away we would always come back home since we couldn't handle the world, he always 𝑎𝑙𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠 laughed when he heard we tried to run but on those days he bought us pretty dresses and hair ties as an apology for his behaviour,

"By the time mommy Sarah came back we were broken, my sister's case was worse that's why she despises my mother more than I do"

Sarin took a minute to think of sweet Ava eat overly hot food when younger and locked in some cupboard crying her eyes out.

It just didn't fit in her beautiful personality.

"And as much as I really don't like Azriel, he really helped her recover so I owe it to him and Raz helped me so I owe him too.

Any other questions before I fall asleep" she asked her eyes half closed.

Her second question was,

"What does touching my self mean, I mean-"

Beth's eyes opened to look at her with a question plastered on her face.

"Where did you hear that?" she asked.

"I- I read it in a book" she answered hastily trying to avoid the question.

Beth gave her a skeptical look then sat up sobering up a little, "We both know you rarely read"

The waiter Beth had winked at walked past them, again, blushing. "She really likes you" Sarin told Bethany who said,

"Obviously,"

Sarin rolled her eyes.

"Where did you hear that, be honest and I'll tell you what it means" Beth continued.

Sarin looked at Raz's previous position, he was gone. "Grey asked me if I do it"

"When was that?" her eyes shone like those of Athena when she received gossip.

"That night of the wedding"

"Did something happen?"

Sarin groaned, "Would you just tell me what I need to know?"

"Ok, it means touching yourself in a sensual way to derive pleasure"

She was still lost, so Beth continued, whispering "Touching your private areas in a sensual way, I can't really explain it you have to do it so as to understand what it means to 'touch yourself'" she quoted using her finger's.

A wave of silence passed between them.

"Have you ever done that?" Sarin asked Beth knowing very well that Raz was somewhere around litsening to them. She could feel eyes on them.

"Those are private questions Sarin" she scowled.

"I answered my private questions right?"

"You did but mine are more private than yours" she slurred then continued, "What's that painting doing there?"

Sarin turned to look at it quick, her eyes fell on Grey's grandpa. Her trigger. Something inside her shifted.

"Oh you looked" Beth was now completely sobered up. "We have to get out of here"

Bethany stood and pulled Sarin out of her seat. A few people in the club moved well in toe with them.

The painting had been put there on purpose. Sarin's vision blurred as her thoughts jumbled up. Her normal thoughts were being replaced by foreign ones. Ones she didn't know and Jurrian was in all of them.

"Let's go" Beth shouldered them out quick then uttered some words that made the door snap closed tightly.

There were more people outside waiting for them. Jurrian's face filled her brain. Sarin saw him down the alley and let go of Bethany walking towards him.

"Sarin!" Beth exclaimed reaching out for her but she was pushed back by some gigantic man. He was kicked by Beth who then who ran to catch a hold of running Sarin. Towards Jurrian.

"What are you doing?" Beth asked then realization dawned. She had taken Jurrian's long dead wife form. That's why her thoughts were filled with his face.

Beth continued, "Grey is looking for you" she told Sarin who turned to look at Beth blanks.

"Who is Grey?"

Beth smiled, mission accomplished but the smile fell when Grey didn't appear minutes later. Sarin hurried to Jurrian's waiting hands.

Both Jurrian and Sarin dissapeared from that area. All the men that were after Beth and Sarin dissapeared with them.

Beth didn't follow them but walked right back inside and found who she needed to beat to pulp.

Raz. He snitched their location to Jurrian. This was his revenge to her. Stupid freaking revenge.

Her eyes raked the bar and found his eyes trained on her. Her anger flared as she walked to him. He walked away trying to run from her but she was five steps ahead. She went outside and met with him from the back door.

"That's one of your stupidest plans ever" she told him. Purple light left her fingers going directly him.

He simply smiled knowing she won't forgive him.

"I know"

She huffed, the light had formed a rope that wrapped around his body. "The fate of this kingdom depends on that girl yet you stupidly did that"

"He told me to do it and I saw it as a good chance to revenge as you were drunk, I outsmarted you" the smile persisted. As much as she liked him, she could crush him under those ropes around his body.

But she didn't.

"I feel like killing you" Beth said slapping him hard then walking back to think of a plan to rescue Sarin.

"You won't" he said proudly knowing she couldn't do it.

"I won't but you'll help me get her you beast" she snapped back at him. His nostrils flared.

"I'm no beast I-"

"You're just lucky I turned you back to your human form so shut up or I'll turn you back and you'll be back to hiding at the harbour"

She shut his mouth but then hesitated, "Say it now Raz"

She let his body go allowing some space to breath. "Grey was there too"

She snapped her eyes to look at him with questions in her eyes, "He had been there the entire time watching the both of you and letting me do what Jurrian ordered me to do he left with them"

Beth sighed in relief. If he was with them then, Sarin was safe but she needed to find her sister. She was back but not okay, she could feel it.
