According to Marrina, the Queen was not supposed to die. If she did it would only make things worth since only two people would make gray become king.

Sarin and then now dead queen.

The kingdom had been quiet, everything about the surroundings was quiet which wasn't good.

Quiet isn't good.

At some point the volcano would erupt and destroy everything in its way. Prince Jurrian couldn't be found and Sarin was pretty sure he was the culprit of the murder of the queen.

The investigations done by the castle showed that she was poisoned, meaning someone with an intention killed her.

To send a message.

Here is the thing that didn't make sense at all, the queen died immediately after they discussed about how she could only crown Grey, though she couldn't remember telling all that to them.

Bethany had explained it all that morning when they came back to the Castle from the wedding.

All these meant that Prince Jurrian or the killer knew the effects of the Queen's demise. Meanwhile, Bethany came out of the bathroom and went to the Ash pot she always kept by the window. The one which she put the necklace from Jurrian.

Sarin stood and walked closer to see what Beth was doing.

"That snake!" she muttered under her breath. She crushed a pearl on the necklace, it leaked some purple liquid which then dissolved in the air.

"What was that?"

"Its some type of portion manipulated into changing into anything, if you manipulate it into a spy, it does, it's very. . .flexible" she explained crushing the rest of the pearls.

"So it was spying on us?"

"Yup, he gave it to you for that, he knows everything we know" five Pearls were yet to be crushed.

If they crushed all of the pearls, Jurrian would know they in knew he knew so it would be wise to use the information to their advantage, so she stopped Bethany from causing more damage.

"What?"

"If you destroy them he'll know about it so let's mislead him with new information" she told her.

She nodded in agreement and performed a spell to wipe away what they had discussed just now. "We have to be careful from now but that's a great idea"

.

"So what will happen now?" she asked Bethany.

"Those two, Jurrian and Grey will have to fight for the crown so as early as now, word should pass that a another prince is in the kingdom"

"Fight how?"

"Any way possible but what would assure Grey that the people will accept him is, if he defeats Northern Dalotopia and conquers it to be under his command"

"So. . .we need a plan on how to do that"

"Exactly"

A knock then it opened revealing Sarah, Beth's mother.

"We're having the Queen's ceremony and you both are needed there" she said softly. She was dressed in a black corsetted dress.

"We are not coming, we have to take care of something" Bethany said quickly.

"What we-!?" Sarin exclaimed in question.

"We were actually leaving now-" Beth was quick to drag a confused Sarin out of the room.

"What was that?"

"Nothing, we're here" she said dismissing her earlier question. They had walked through the small forest by the castle to the city market.

"Where exactly are we?"

"Gossip mongers" she said signifying using her hand all around the area.

"What about Gossip mongers?"

"Oh God!" she groaned and walked to one of the shops. They're both met a woman adorned with too much make up.

"Hi Athena"

"Hello Betty" her sweet voice filtered through the salon from behind her.

"I need your help"

"Always love, tell me" from her looks you'd think she was a rude woman but from her voice and her tone, she looked like she really adored Betty.

"We need you to spread some gossip" Betty said.

She chuckled before she answered, "I do that for a living, first tell me what's your pretty friends name?"

"Sarin is my name" Sarin introduced herself instead of Beth.

"Nice to meet you am Athena" Athena acknowledged. So nice. "The Gossip?"

One wouldn't think they were talking about Gossip, it looked like some serious transaction since Bethany had a small sack of gold coins.

Bethany sat down and explained everything to Athena who seemed to cram the information real good. Sarin chimed in when needed. After finishing, Athena explained everything she understood which was precise and to the point.

"Give me a few hours, it'll be all over the city" Athena said resigning to do her new task. Her eyes shone with excitement as she chuckled away.

"What do we do now?"

A dirty smile adorned Beth's lips, "Have you ever drank alcohol?"

"A little" Sarin showed using two of her fingers.

"Let's go drink up"

"I don't want to drink!" Sarin exclaimed running towards the scurrying off Bethany.

"You'll just watch over me, I tend to get tipsy" they both walked down the alley to an emptier street.

Beth opened the door to the bar that they were supposed to drink from. She couldn't drink, the last time she did that she vomited it all. It wasn't her thing plus it was bitter.

The place was full and noisy. Men at all corners and women seductively dancing for the men.

Beth ordered a drink in no time after winking at some waiter who blushed furiously. If she hadn't seen Bethany blushing when with Raz, she would have thought that Beth was into ladies.

.

As they talked about nothing in particular, Sarin raked her eyes around the place and met with Raz's familiar eyes watching Bethany get drunk gradually. Raz didn't notice Sarin see him.

She ignored him and asked the already loosened up Beth her two burning questions.

The first was,

"What's with you and mother?"
